- WELCOME TO THE NEW KITCHEN BABYYY!! Today I'm trying yet another thing I saw on TikTok. Halle Burns made gnocchi with just flour and tofu!! Then took the tofu dough and made pizza, tortillas, etc. Is it actually good? I must know

You’re meant to boil gnocchi before browning them in a sauce regardless of the gnocchi type. It should be really good if it tasted good in other applications.
i used the same recipe and i boiled them first and they were delicious
I saw the same video he did and I boiled the gnocchi. It turned out really good. He def needs to redo with boiling it this time.
You usually would boil them yes, although pan-frying them can work as long as you start them off with a little water at first so they can steam a little before really starting to fry
Pro-tip: Vita-Mix makes a specially shaped, extra long spatula for their blenders, and it makes it SO MUCH EASIER to get stuff out of the blender, particularly when you blend thick stuff like tofu, etc.
where was this information when i made blended oats and it all got stuck under the blades

Get a table that you can fold down the sides :) they are perfect for a kitchen you need a little extra space in.
That might not work with his dish washer underneath it! But maybe if he just keeps the other side folded. 😊

My recipe for gnocchi had me boil the tofu dough and it also tasted better after I let it sit overnight in the marinara sauce I used.
i cant remember where i found the recipe, but this is almost my sweet potato gnocchi recipe! i just mix a cooked sweet potato with some soft tofu and flour and it makes the best gnocchi i have ever had
i definitely boil them before pan frying or saucing, flour needs cooking haha
What ratio of sweet potato to tofu and flour do you use if you don’t mind me asking?

Thank you for making this, it really helped! Your tofu dough was waaay smoother than mine (I did not drain my tofu all the way and I wonder if that is what kept my dough lumpy), but I did boil the gnocchi before cooking and to me it came out with the texture of gnocchi

Tip for pizza dough, roll it out on parchment paper then just cook it on that paper, that way you save steps and cleaning
