Hey that's my impossible cube at 4:40 :) I did that way back when blueprints were pretty new and I was trying to reverse engineer the blueprint files. Edit: Back in the day it would show up very weird due to Z fighting and would always separate when the lift was removed. I'm pretty sure the reason it looks like this now is because scrap mechanic is trying to keep the data of the block as short as possible by storing different scales of blocks, instead of each block separately. And the colors probably change because the order of the stored shapes "randomizes" (it's probably consistent, so not truly random) whenever new block groups are calculated.
The first thing works for 2 reasons: 1. The ground in Scrap Mechanic works by putting an upwards force upon anything that touches it, which works fine usually, but something as large as that has enough mass to push through it 2. The reason things respawn at the top is integer underflow. Integer underflow occurs when negative numbers appear in a space where they shouldn't, so the value loops around to the highest possible value, being the top of the world
actually its not integer underflow, otherwise im pretty sure the individual parts would tp. its an inbuilt failsafe, if you push yourself you can see it by jumping in the void, it says "hey, you are playing the game wrong. stop that!" or something like that
The cube was featured in the "Dumb" episode: ScrapMan: ua-cam.com/video/WseX1A1Hz9g/v-deo.html (We Searched "Dumb" on the Workshop and Were Actually Impressed? - Scrap Mechanic Workshop Hunters) kAN: ua-cam.com/video/Ear1nB3PNcs/v-deo.html (We Searched "STUPID" and were Dumbfounded by the Results! The towers fall through the ground cause of the glitch welder, if you stack blocks inside of each other they will behave like a suspension or fall trough the ground as you kAN see. And yes I used kAN instead of can. Durf also made a video about the glitch welder and made a boat with that technique.
11:24 you could have probably fit a piece of dynamite there is tiny dynamite parts in one of the mods I don't know which mod but I know you have the mod
It reminds me of the portals question about what if you put a pole into two vertically facing portals and then welded both ends that stuck out to eachother.
I _think_ I know how the giant falling pillars work, but I'm not 100% sure because they didn't fly to the top of the towers and I also don't have Scrap Mechanic. Basically, what I think the creator did was they built that tower on a lift (set to some height other than minimum, likely maximum) all the way up to the sky box. Then, they lowered the lift to get part of the tower underneath the ground, and lowering the lift allowed there to be some space to build the tower higher, again reaching the sky box. To make the tower as tall as possible, they could've built it in a custom tile that is set to be completely flat and at the minimum possible elevation. After building the tower, they saved and uploaded it, and they had created something taller than the game world itself. Now I will describe how this causes the weird behavior we see. When spawning the creation on a lift, part of the tower spawns above the sky box, and when the lift is deleted, there is of course empty space below the tower where the lift had been, so the tower falls to the ground. You aren't supposed to have stuff above the sky box, so the game tries to push it down to be below the sky box, but the tower is taller than the maximum possible distance between the ground and the sky box, so the tower glitches through the ground. The ground tries to keep the tower above it, so it pushes back up, causing the tower bob up and down. But, as evident in the video, this doesn't always succeed, so sometimes the tower glitches through completely, resulting in it falling infinitely, as once it reaches a certain point, it respawns right where it was. By the time it respawns, it has gained enough velocity and momentum that it is guaranteed to fall through the ground before the ground can attempt to push back up, just like when the player falls from a high enough height, so it won't stop falling unless some outside force is acted upon it.
That conveyer in large format could be a good platform for a good multi-player monday vid. :D Like "Make a car that can keep on the Conveyers and kick off the other car. without falling off, then the 2 not conveyer-racing player would be sending down small stuff making them loose thier balance. Maybe as teams or longest time on top with 3 player sending stuff down it.

I have a challenge idea. Could you make a parkour course where you have to use pillars of explosives to be able to go through it? like jumping on the top of it launches you in the air and you have to move over to the next one and land on top of it to launch you up in the air so on and so forth.

I'm curious to see what creations will show up if you search *"Launcher"*
I think it would show A

Agree
Prob grenade launchers and rocket launchers

Then search it yourself you dont need to own the game or even steam to check the workshop you just have to go to the steam website
I agree though
