G'day Warren, This looks like a super bit of kit & I will look in to our local prices (Perth WA.), as you know we run the AT Gold & have had pretty reasonable results with them.
What I mean is that we have managed to pay for a bit of our fuel & tucker, we spend most of our time wandering in the WA outback when prospering.
    Happy Fossicking Mate, Steve.

Thanks for watching Steve, yes this new machine would be very suited to the W.A. goldfields, safe travels mate. Happy Fossicking! Warren.

Would be interesting to see if the Axiom is better than the 6000

Thanks for the detector run down Warren. Is there any maps that show where goldfields are located that people can prospect at ? in particular NSW. Oh and yes good to see the Defender being used in this video :)

Thanks for the comment mate, for NSW in particular permits are only required for certain State Forests. An example of a public area where no permit is required is Tambaroora near Hill End. There are detailed maps on line showing the boundaries of this area. Thats a good starting place that may lead you to other spots around there. Tibooburra for example has a large Town Common where you pay $15 per month per detector. It does vary across the state. Happy Fossicking mate! Warren.

While you were in my neck of the woods, did you manage to find any treasure? Besides the cuppa with the 5/8 at the end of the clip.

G'day Mark, didn't do any treasure hunting although if we stumbled across an old camp we would have definitely busted out the relic detectors LOL. Happy Fossicking mate! Warren.

Warren , awesome video mate , fantastic info delivered. I run a GPX 4500wirh various coils in sizes and in mono and DD coils and a couple of "salt coils " or labelled as anti interference coils . These work great but don't completely cancel out powerlines and steady EMI like that new Axiom . I've made enquiries here in Kalgoorlie thru the local prospectors patch store run by Jamie ( awesome bloke and lots knowledge as well ) . I'm very interested in these new toys . I've always had Minelab machines in the past going from the old SD 2000 up the the 4500. I love the Minelab machines but even the newer ones don't fully cancel out EMI , powerlines , steady RF from other machines and 2 way radio transmitters. Hoping they'll be available in Kalgoorlie before Xmas so I can treat myself to a new toy and have a new detector to play and go over old areas where my 4500 and other more advanced machines have been over and had very little success due to hot ground , hot rocks etc .
Great video Warren , looking forward to watching many more of your videos on your channel. Best and success for the future mate , very well done with the new machine . All the best from Kalgoorlie WA. Cheers and cold beers mate , enjoy. Stay safe mate . 👍👍👍

I watch this channel to see metal detecting in general, not to see advertising for certain brands and endorsement of products. Obviously the channel is subsidised by Garrett and that's okay. If I want to know about Garrett detectors I will go to their channel. We are all in this hobby because we love getting out and having fun and not everyone can afford the over the top prices demanded by these top end producers. Please keep it real and concentrate on the everyday people who just want to get out in the outdoors and enjoy the hobby especially now during this pandemic

Thanks for your comment and for supporting our channel Ian, we have a series of our 'normal' relic and treasure hunting videos coming up next. All the best mate and Happy Fossicking! Warren.
