I had a lot of trouble at first but I used some of the portrait bundle brushes and it helped tremendously!!
for example:
I sketched each layer with the "Hair Base" brush from the portrait bundle.. Helped create some of those lines in the fire naturally.
I smudged with the Flame brush rather than Stucco. It helped make it realistic.
I did the final dot details with the "freckles" brush from the portrait bundle. gave some more natural looking dots!
