I was a Spanish minor in college and by biggest advice for learning a language it to try to do it as early in the morning as you can! Your brain is able to pick up on new languages in the morning so much better than later in the day! I would always do my spanish assignments first thing!
I have studied two foreign languages (English and Spanish) and I've found that it really helps to read novels in the language you're learning. If it feels daunting, you could read books you've read before but in another language. (I usually recommend Harry Potter, since most people have read it, it's an easy read, and it's been translated to many different languages.) Finding youtubers who speak the language natively helps a lot too, since it'll give you a chance to hear the language spoken quite casually. :)

Hi, I'm a languages student. I would recommend giving yourself a day or two to study for an hour or two. When it comes to grammar, you should never force yourself to study it, that's just the worst! What I usually do when I don't feel like studying grammar is listening to music, watch some videos or watch a series in the language I'm focusing on. I hope that's helpful, greetings from Colombia!

If you ever want to get into anime, most people would recommend Studio Ghibli films (My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle). I would add on to that is Studio CoMix Wave films (Garden of Words, 5cm per second, and Your Name) are animated really well and the stories are beautiful. Another fun way to learn a language is by immersing yourself in films that are in the language that you're learning.

I'm also learning Japanese! I find it easier when I wake up early in the morning and dedicate an hour just to japanese, whether that is reading writing vocab I do it all in that one hour! Hope that helps!

I read, "There's Someone Inside Your House," and I loved it. Stephanie Perkins did an amazing job especially with the killer's reasoning for killing. I thought it was definitely a new spin on thrillers.

Try watching the anime Kimi no nawa. A friend of mine who's a boy recommended it to me as my first anime to watch. And I think you will really like it. I cried and loved every second of that movie.

This is probably the worst advice because it's so wild but like spontaneously plan a trip to a Japan?! My mother and grandmother speak Spanish and I am very meh but when we go to Ecuador where we r from I already feel the flow of the language and u kinda just are almost forced to learn but I also think u may get a similar affect by watching a Japanese show and hearing the characters speak help u notice how they talk and the structure and flow of it
