Meta better wake up an accelerate the quest 3 release
Meta already know Quest 2 owners will not move to Pico 4 because they already bought so many games from meta store. Im kinda stuck with Quest 2 which sucks
Meta made a decision to go with Snapdragon instead of investing in their own chip design, so now the release of the Quest 3 is tied to the mass availability of the next generation Snapdragon. It also means that Pico can release their own product with the same chip at a lower price point. It will be interesting to see if Meta is willing to get in a price battle with Pico to win the market share,but their recent price increase suggests they aren’t.
@@ji3200 it's disgusting how they make the games so expensive relative to how long they last, moat can be completed quickly. I think unless they make AAA titles like Half Life Alyx most games should cost between £5 - 15 max
@@Mike-kt4qh did you see Moss 2 game priced at $39 and after poor sale for few months they drop it to $29.
@@ji3200 they will put people off VR, what they need to do is maybe have a service like an improved Viveport where you pay £7.99 a month for example and you get to play a lot of the best games

Competition is always healthy. The hardware specs are impressive but I am hearing about issues with colour saturation and tracking problems. I'm going to hold off to see if it gets the software support in maybe 6 months. By then it should have been mass consumer tested and found its place in the market....
I am one of the lucky americans to get one thanks to Amazon UK. It shines as a PCVR headset.

It really does and it even beats my Quest Pro which is weird. FS2020 looked far better on my Pico 4. I did use quest sir link though and on the Pico 4 I used Virtual Desktop
Great video Al. That headset does look tempting, but I have over 60 apps installed on my Q2 and from what I gather, they won't migrate over to the Pico meaning I would have to buy everything again. I think I will be saving my spare cash for the Q3.

Please for full review some in depth details and impressions about how the screen looks compared to Quest 2. is it darker (less lit) is it a problem if so for people used with Quest 2?

please do an extensive video on lenses... god rays are for me what is the worth part of VR... resolution is nice to have, but god rays are really tiring.

Any light bleeding from the sides?
Not that I noticed and I was in a bright room.
Yeah i had a lot of light leakage from the sides, when you playing you can see behind you due to the light leaking in and reflecting off of the lens and into your eyes, also the fov is dog compared to the quest 2 due to how the head gasket is, if you plan on getting one please waut until the aftermarket starts producing better head gaskets that are more comfy and lets in no light
@@grantic5413 I doubted myself and had another look. FOV still loads better and I'm still not getting light leakage.

Not the first time I've read this.
In 6 months mass consumer reviews should give us all a clearer picture of the Pico 4.
Biggest problem i have with the quest is . How i did not play on it for 2 months an nothing really changed.
Almost no new games or features.
They put so much effort in to the rebranding bs. Give me some decent android apps support or something.
Meta is losing it lead just because they don't seem to have a real plan where they want to take the platform.
That's going to be a problem on all VR platforms though. It's not Meta specific. That's said, as more headsets come out and the market increases, we're bound to see more and more titles come out.
Yeah part of the reason i haven't been playing as much as I could have is that apart from skill games like Beatsaber, story driven titles are mostly short experiences. They need that killer multiplayer title that totally hooks people. Like a VR Rust
@@VRCauldron fully agree i hooked half my family on the quest during the pandemic and we sometimes do still a demeo night .but if a game release it like does if have a decent multiplayer no to bad.
Its just called the Pico 4. It's not "Pico Neo 4"
