Watching from the Philippines. For a while I thought this was rural Philippines. Similar to our barangay neighborhood. Whenever I watch your video... It reminds me our my home province in the Philippines. 300 Kms. Away from Manila. I have fond childhood memories in this kind of provincial neighborhood. Playing kites, looking from fruits. And learning to ride a bike. And at 1pm to 3pm we sleep under the shady trees... because of the heat.
Wow thanks I was in my girlfriends Village this year. That’s how you know she loves you she takes you to her village and Introduce you to Grandma and Other relatives and friends lol .. I love the Experience of village life.. and everyone in my girlfriends village is the same in your video friendly and always says hello
Rural in Thailand much changed from 20 year ago. In the past no concreate road, it's may cover all now with water system, and electricity. Most are moved to city area permanently, like me.
Door Dek, I was in Chiang Rai 45 years ago it was as you speak, all dirt roads (except the main highway), it was however relatively clean. No electric, outdoor communal shower, out door bathroom, water was in the large earthen jars. The house I stayed in had 2 solid chairs, a small table for pictures of His Majesty the King, earthen jars, woven bamboo sleeping mats and mosquito netting. Loved it! Except for the outdoor bathroom! I knew a snake was going to crawl in and bite me on the butt!
Hi Rob, all the local villages are basically the same. I am retired and live in Chiang mai with the misses, her mom lives in a village very similar to this. We built a nice home up there for her and we go up there every two months for about 3 weeks. It’s a very relaxing lifestyle and the air is so much cleaner. I notice the difference straight away,I also notice the difference in the hip pocket very cheap to live. The village has only one seven eleven and no tesco,Makro or mini C. Everyone is in bed by 8pm and it’s very quite, the roosters start about 4.30 am and the monks kick off about dawn. The chanting is very relaxing and enjoyable, the monks do their rounds and the misses gives the family offering.I could not live there permanently as I enjoy having the cinemas, and restaurants and hustle and bustle if needed, only 5 minutes down the road. Maybe I will go back to Aus for a visit one day,but at the moment no interest.
Hi Michael, Thanks for your comment. I agree with everything you said. If i had the opportunity to live there now i would probably choose Chiang Mai, Cha Am or Hua Hin. All the best, Cheers
Your village is nice and clean. My village is mostly forest and jungle or maybe young trees because they sell all the big ones. No toilets, collecting rain water to drink and car battery bootleg for lighting. Oh yeah no clean road like yours only a trail path. When it rain it flood our house is above ground about 10 feet we boat around until the water goes down. I really miss it but I don't want to go back live there ever again

And they love when you speak a little Thai to them like you are. Just looked at your profile and subbed. Looks interesting.

It's pretty much the same in the rural villages in the province of Saraburi and other places around the country. You never know when you might need an extra roll of toilet tissue, a box of soap, or a cold soda, beer, or M-150, and sometimes find some rather unusual cooked foods.
