This is a good subject. I subscribed and look forward to your future content. I visited the city of Korat a few weeks ago and really like it, very livable city. I’m told it’s nice outside of Korat so nice to find your videos. Would be cool to see prices of other properties and interviews of other expats and her their story of how they ended up there and how they live on the property and land.
Sure, thank you so much! Yes, Korat is like the second most populous province of Thailand after Bangkok. And in terms of size it is the largest province. The thing is that in my village I am the only foreigner, and in nearby villages I am not sure if there are any expats because I have not met or seen anyone till now. But when I go to the nearest town called Dan Khun Thot, which is like 20km's from my house. I see some expats from time to time, not always. But yes, I will try to get in touch with them if I meet them, and if they are interested in talking I will ask their stories. And yes, I live around 70 km's far from Korat city.
You may need to emphasize that the house cannot be legally purchased by a foreigner, last time I checked. You would need to allow a Thai national (e.g., a Thai wife) to own the title. Correct me if I am wrong.
Hi there, yes. As a foreigner you cannot own a land in Thailand. The max a foreigner can do is lease a land for upto 30 years and if the lease agreement allows construct a house on it. The 30 years lease can be extended but it does depends on the owner leasing the land. Also, a foreigner needs to obtain a construction permit on his name to construct a house.
A foreign entity cannot own land outright, still need a Thai national that owns 51%. The way around this is to first have an agreement with a Thai national individual where the agreement states your business has control over the property and that xx% of monies goes to the business for sale of the property, and x% goes to the Thai national. Even then, laws could change so your risking the money invested. Now if you lease land for 30 years and house is 8K then you get a house for 30 years which is a good deal, and chances are you can extend the lease another 30 years if your still alive.
Yes so. The foreigners cannot buy land over here. But they buy like condos. And if they have a leasing agreement of a land they can get a construction permit, and then construct a house on their name.
That’s right. It was built by Ann’s father for Grandma on a budget as Grandma just needed a house to stay during the day time. No one lives in the house during the night. So, no one cared much about how it looks. But as you said, it can be modified and it can look good for a little money.
Hi there, sure. The wifi is fast over here. My cousin pays around 900 baht over here for wifi, and I have shown her wifi speed in the later part of the casting vote in Thailand video, you can find that video easily on my Thailand. I am not using wifi, I use AIS cellular network, and it cost me around 426 baht a month, with unlimited internet. I am able to stream 2-3 devices on hd using the hotspot. And I use around 250 gb of data in a month. Speed can vary depending on the location, but for me AIS is working fine till now, and so I had no need for wifi, cellular network with unlimited plan does work fine.
Foreigners cannot own land in Thailand. They can only own a condo. This is like been discussed till cows come home......4000 usd would get you a house in Isaan , 100k to 350k usd pattaya but living in isaan amongst thais has its one issues for sure....😢
What’s with all the bars in all the windows and everywhere ? I mean 8k house but security like Fort Knox😂 You sure it’s Isan your in and not Medellin or Bogota

I believe that you can start a company and buy the house in the company name.
@@philsummers579 Hi there, yes. A foreigner can buy a land under his company's name.

@@Kandiplaces Sure, lease can be a better option for most, as 30 years is a long term. A 2 bedroom house can be constructed for like $15,000 easily.
it's only the land part that is restricted for foreign ownership, not the structures upon on the land.

I think it’s a very good house. If you put 3k into the house. You can upgrade the interior tile. Windows etc

I would like to restore that house and landscape if i own that house. Thanks for sharing.
Sure, that would be nice.
That's quite a thorn, Sam. Hope your foot didn't take long to heal.
Yes, it was from the orange tree from the garden. Sure, it healed in a few days.
Nice house! Do you have the information for the builder?
Yes sure, the builder is based in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Value for money
whats the wifi situation like , is it quick enough to work from laptop in these parts of thailand ?

@@RichyHH Sure, sounds good. Thank you so much!
8000usd included the land or only houses?
$8000 is for the house only. Land is family land. So, there was no need to buy a land.
How big is the lot?
Around half Rai.

Hi there, sure. That's right. It's all about people, if they want to live in a village with their gf or wife, or they want to live in cities.
How much was the land?
Hi. The land is family land in the village.
Is this house still for sale
Hi Chris. This house is not for sale. The purpose of this video was to give an idea about what a $8000 house looks like in Isaan.

It is for lizards and animals
