Funnily enough I know more annoying people than annoying doves! I rescued 2 babies fallen from a nest a few years ago, sadly I lost the little female a few months ago, my remaining little guy is so affectionate it's unreal, he greets me excitedly when I come home and sings to me when I talk to him, he recognises his name too (Reginald), coos and flies on cue. He is an absolute joy to be around, such a loving little companion - I hope one day you get such an opportunity yourself!
We have a Collared Dove in our garden that seems to attack Wood Pigeons and Magpies. The weird thing is that it's the ONLY Collared Dove that does this. I haven't seen any others do it.
I have two collared doves on my table. They come in a pair or singly. I guess one is making a nest now. How do you tell the sexes apart? Any advice. I love them Hev

The female sounds more masculine than the male he has a high pitched coo.

Feeding them keeps em away from farmers crops and grain bins.
But ive stop a few of these and they do taste quite nice :)
