EXPLORING BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK / SNAKES on the Notch Trail / Full-time RV Family ~ Ep 22

The first big national park on our full-time RV adventure was the Badlands and we marked it with our first epic hike on the Notch Trail! Even though we left early-ish, it was super hot with the temperature topping out in the 90s for the day. There wasn't a ton of shade to be had, but we stopped wherever we could and made good use of our cooling towels! It was a rough start for Presley, but we don't blame her...the heat was tough! Overall, we recommend the hike as long as you prepare with tons of water and watch for snakes!
You'll see that the kids were a bit bored with all of the rock viewing, but we thought it was really neat and beautiful. None of us had ever seen anything like it at the time! Michael discovered that he has an issue with heights that he didn't know about as well, but he worked through it.
In our next video we will explore more of the Badlands & visit the famous Wall Drug!

The only wildlife I got to see there were prairie dogs. I’m ok with not seeing a rattlesnake. I came across my first timber rattler hiking in the Smokies last summer and I could have lived without it.

We will be seeing prairie dogs for the first time in the next episode! Thankfully, no more snakes. :)
