Maybe I'm not ready for this And you know it Maybe I'm too scared to tell you What I'm really thinking It's not fair to stay together Because of the regrets we might have Don't want to fall asleep alone, But do I want to wake up with you I'm only trying to be completely honest So I guess this is the ending Of a beautiful mistake And if we both agree that we shouldnt be Together why does it Hurt so much and I feel Like I lost my closest friend Don't want to fall asleep alone, But do I want to wake up with you I hope your happy, and completely lonely There I am, standing on all alone On St. Lee Harbor bridge And you know I would jump into The fucking ocean If it mean I was truly capable Of being satisfied Will I ever be Did I just give up the best thing I ever had Don't want to fall asleep alone, But do I want to wake up with you? I hope your happy, and completely lonely Don't want to fall asleep alone, But do I want to wake up with you? I'm only trying to be completely honest
i went yesterday to their show, here in sao paulo and i was in the first line and screamed PLAY BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE and chris said "sorry, i dont know how do play it but i swear i like it too ;D"
Really, this song marks the downfall of Kris Roe's life...so it's a pretty painful listen in that regard. Great song, but I can't help but feel bad for the guy considering the past few years of his life.
it is a b-side from the so long astoria sessions. originally it was going to be on the album but at the last minute it was replaced (per the suggestion of fans via the band's message board) by the full-band version of looking back on today.
It was on the Take Action Vol. 3 comp. Sub City/Hopeless Records puts them out. That volume is my favorite. The early ones are the only good ones, but a good amount goes to a charity/org. Check out some of Deep Elm Records comps also, they have alot of sweet ones.
They both are worlds and worlds ahead of "Radio #2"---that one definitely should have taken the cut. Eh...this song is actually almost more of a prelude to "Not Capable of Love", so it actually could have conceivably been re-recorded and put on Welcome the Night as well.
Maybe I'm not ready for this
And you know it
Maybe I'm too scared to tell you
What I'm really thinking
It's not fair to stay together
Because of the regrets we might have
Don't want to fall asleep alone,
But do I want to wake up with you
I'm only trying to be completely honest
So I guess this is the ending
Of a beautiful mistake
And if we both agree that we shouldnt be
Together why does it
Hurt so much and I feel
Like I lost my closest friend
Don't want to fall asleep alone,
But do I want to wake up with you
I hope your happy, and completely lonely
There I am, standing on all alone
On St. Lee Harbor bridge
And you know I would jump into
The fucking ocean
If it mean I was truly capable
Of being satisfied
Will I ever be
Did I just give up the best thing I ever had
Don't want to fall asleep alone,
But do I want to wake up with you?
I hope your happy, and completely lonely
Don't want to fall asleep alone,
But do I want to wake up with you?
I'm only trying to be completely honest

Greatest song,

yeah, I can see why it was replaced. It's a great song, but Looking Back On Today, is a thousand times better.
it was a b-side for So Long Astoria, i think the australian release
So they wouldn't play one of their own songs?
@sisty69 most bands do play since '95 and still go
Yeah. I've kinda noticed it over the years.
Great video!!!!!
