The thing I like about NewJeans choreo is that it fits their aesthetic so well, their sound and look is young and fresh y2k and their choreo really vibes like that too. Like 5 friends making a dance together just turned up a level in terms of cleanliness
What I love about New Jeans is that they aren't trying to be overly sexy. They are a young group with just the right amount of cute, style, and fun.
i recommend ditto dance practice by them it’s very funky with a r&b/hip hop vibe to it. new jeans is a new group and all the girls are young so their choreo matches their youthfulness

They’re new and just debuted🙌 I like to think their name New Jeans came from the fact that they’re a new sound in Kpop. Theyre different from what other groups are currently doing.

NewJeans are still rookies, and are a really young group. Like born 2004-2008. I don’t know a ton about them. They are clean and have blown up. Their song Hype Boy blew up on TikTok. They are under the HYBE umbrella.
I recommend checking out Pixy and PinkFantasy who are choreographed by MOTF. I love their stuff.
New Jeans have such a different we see in k-pop. they have other great choreography's like Attention, Cookie, Ditto
Not really a kpop fan but I do really like New Jeans alot. I believe they're called New Jeans because they said jeans are a classic piece of wardrobe, and so they want to be a group that will be around and relevant like denim jeans are (don't quote me on it, but it's something along those lines, I think they're manager said something like that)

They are a breath of fresh air in the overly saturated sea of super feminine sassy girl group choreo. Love the versatility and the music is fresh.
i wasn't fully sold on the music until i saw the performance version where we can see the dance. i agree 100%, it matches the vibe perfectly, real groovy
The meaning behind their name is that jeans are a piece of clothing that everyone loves and will go with anything (they're flexible and talented in multiple things), while the word jeans also sounds like genes, so they're bringing a new type of group into kpop and are starting something unique, fresh and young by bringing in their new genes.
I feel you on the way a dance 'feels' with the music. I think some artists get so caught up in looking cool and doing intricate and difficult moves that it stops really being 'dance' and becomes more of a workout routine hahaha. But this dance is so fresh and bouncy and fun, which fits the music and the girls themselves really well. They are great performers so I'm sure you'll love seein all their stuff.
The thing I like about this guy channel is that he talks in a way that is easy for me to understand and he really knows what he is talking about (i mean, obviously, cause he is a professional dancer), but he knows how to put into words, you know what i'm saying. Honestly, the best channel of dance reactions on UA-cam!

Love the reaction man! The reason I've heard that they named the group 'Newjeans' is that they're going for a timeless feel in their music. So like jeans, which have been a staple of fashion for forever, they also want the music to have that affect. Since jeans are classic, the music also has that classic RnB type feel to it, but with a new modern twist, hence the "New" in Newjeans

ya know as newer songs come out in kpop even with the older bands the choreo becomes less repetitive throughout the song and its so nice, even each instance of a chorus has minor changes

Do you not recognize that dance studio? You called the Hip Hop background they are with ADOR that is a subsidiary of HYBE. HYBE is BTS's label. They have a style of dancer that they like and they are just sooooo good. These girls KILL it.

The choreographer for New Jeans is Black.Q. He is also a performance director and a member of a genderless dance crew called EO-DDAE. He's choreographed all of New Jeans dances thus far and is now nicknamed as "New Jeans's father" in Korea! The members of New Jeans are really young, the youngest being 14 and the oldest 18 so Black.Q made it a point to have really clean, fresh, and young chreo that both fit their energy and their current skill set so the dance vibes are just right.
