4:05 I freaking LOVE that Hybe gives the women choreographies that are so different from 95% of other groups. Usually it's either:
A. cutesy & bouncy or
B. sexy & languid
You can always tell when a group was formed as basically just wank material for gross old male execs; the choreo will be an unsettling mix of exotic dancer + schoolgirl.
There are so many more things that female Idols can do - they're not porcelain dolls. Plenty of female Idols are high-level athletes and/or classically trained dancers, no less than amongst male Idols, but they're given anemic choreos that are more like synchronized swaying than actual dancing. In contrast, a group like New Jeans looks youthful, athletic & on-trend, plus they leave no doubt that even the least skilled dancer in the group could knock out a dance challenge or cover of a boy group's song.
And, hoping that this does not come across as condescending, but their music and their dancing is 'age appropriate'. By that, I mean that (as you say), they are not young girls (teenagers) trying to seem like they are in their late 20's. They simply seem like they are 'being themselves', including being their own age.
If they (note: THEY) wish to do 'more mature' style at some point in the future, they will have more than enough time to do that later.
