  • In January 1993, Spike Lee spoke to ITN's Nick Glass about his newest film, Malcolm X (1992). In a twenty-minute interview, Lee reflected on the impact that Malcolm X had on America and, more specifically, Lee when he was in school. He discussed taking over the project from Canadian filmmaker Norman Jewison, working with Denzel Washington, and other aspects of the filmmaking process. He also discussed whether he had expected different reactions from black and white audience members.
