VCG Construction what’s up Vince I didn’t know you watched wranglerstar
And women
I am relieved to see you are safe and healthy...the fires claimed 3 responders already...prayers to their families.
Hand crews not engine slugs
Godspeed Cody!
someone should loop that at 0:28 into an endless gif
looks like the seven dwarfs walking to their mine.... just more of them :D
heyerstandards I charge 50buck per frame
take look at the hand tools. they each serve purpose and an order while digging hand line.
heyerstandards
Totally.
This really reminded of the "7 Dwarves" and made me laugh.
nice job Cody...stay safe!
Shameless commerce. Thank you for your support via Amazon Affiliates while Cody is working on Wildland Fires. MrsW here goo.gl/amhVf6
Wranglerstar what happened to the video before this one
Harambe still lives what is that America
Wranglerstar I met you when you came to Vermont
I do! MrsW here
No shame, you gotta make a dollar where you can.
Thank you for giving us a glimpse of this. It still amazes me how you've taken this channel into these situations! As a trauma nurse even just seeing the equipment and the conditions your dealing with provides me with a better education on how to help my patients. Stay safe !
Thank you for being out there helping with the fires. There are so many fires all over the north west this year.
Thank you for all the hard work you've been doing over this week. I've got family in the area and it's a relief knowing hard working people such as yourself are there to help.
I'll tell u what, This channel has saved me ,taught me, and changed me in all kinds of ways. Even my wife has noticed and I've always been like Cody in ways, but what I've been taught since I've noticed this channel, has blown it out of the water. Thanks for teaching People, especially Men ,how to be Men! it's great. We live in North Idaho, and it's nice having the same characteristics as your selves! I've been building a loft lately, used trees off our 10 acres for posts and used my crosscut saw to harvest them cause of fire danger, drug them off the hill, used a draw knife, and other tools, cause of learning and thinking about your station. Sure love all the videos, although I'm just complimenting right now for all of them.
Kenny Coye you and me both man. Sometimes my little girl catches me watching Cody and she always asks, "who's that daddy?" I tell her "That's my friend Cody. "
Thank you Cody for what you and the other fire fighters do. I appreciate you showing us a little of what you do and how supplies and equipment are supplied. Thank you again. Take care, be careful and God bless.
You have to have an "RC Cola" with the Moon Pie.
RC was the best! Its changed since I was a kid, but I remember scrounging around looking for quarters to go to the vending machine down the street to buy a can...hotter the day, colder the drink. Boy, it was awesome.
Gerard Schlundt I remember RC was the first soda in 16 oz bottles. It cost $.11 at the time and a Moon pie was $.05. Tells ya how far back I go! I'm pretty sure the RC bottle was returnable in NYS for $.01 as well!
Love the firefighting videos. Fires are just an hour or so from here in our part of Canada. Many smoky mornings and evenings. Have family on evac standby SW a few hours from here. God bless and be safe. Thanks Mrs. W for holding down the fort.
You could of picked a way cooler soundtrack. My god. Play some acdc these guys are badasses.
I was thinking more along the lines of Slayer would fit 😂
Its a scary and tragic thing that you have to go deal with these fires but it is also a amazing and self less that you put yourself in harms way to help others when you have sooo much to loose! Thank you for what you do, and thank you for making these vids and taking your daily subscribers along on these advenures and giving us a inside view of what you guys deal with up there! Pretty damn cool!!!!!
Good to see you out in the field Cody, between this year's fires and the severe weather we've been receiving I've been inspired to re-up my red card next year and get back out there.
Keep up the good work brother, work smart stay safe.
Here in Missouri the other day the sun was a strange orangish yellow color from all the wild fires out west and I found my self thinking about you Cody and wondering if you were alright and how you were fairing. It was refreshing to see this video showing all of us here in UA-cam land that your okay. Many thoughts and prayers to you and all wild land fire fighters and to their loved ones back home including Mrs.W and Jack.
Thank you Rolf. mrsW here
This reminds me of when I was in PA, south of the Canadian Wildfires, there was so much smoke that I could look at the sun and it was almost completely red.
Stay safe out there! Prayers for you and all of the other firefighters out battling these blazes. I wish we could send all of this rain we are getting on the Gulf Coast up there to you guys. You need it more than we do!
Just found your channel, love the videos, watched everything about wildland firefighting that you have, keep em' coming, my favorite parts are of you just out and about while you're working. Thanks for posting
Without videos like this, I wouldn't have a clue. Scary and amazing, thanks.
My grandson is a Midnight Suns firefighter out of Fairbanks, Alaska. His crew just finished up rest week and are now headed to Kootenai, Montana to assist there. Safety for all these brave men and women for their work.
Thanks Cody you're the MAN! Great video content as usual. Thanks for bringing us along the ride and letting us in to another aspect of your life.
I'm really enjoying these "day in the life" style wildland firefighting videos. Keep them coming and stay safe out there.
Your videos have been eating my sleep up lately lol. What a great find! So many good videos. Not a lot of forest fires here in Wisconsin to fight but it's so interesting to watch, and a good change of pace from structural firefighting. Stay safe out there brother.
Reminds me when I was working on the Lime fire in Northern California. We stayed in the fair grounds in the town of Hayfork California. The logistical support is amazing, I learned some cool stuff. Hard work but something to remember.
I was doing support for the McFarland Fire this August not far from Hayfork where the Monument Fire was threatening that town. Hard work, LONG hours and as you said - something to remember. Sadly I'm sure there will be more fires in that area in the coming time. Be well and be safe
Cody I am really glad you posted a video. I am located a long distance away from the west coast. I have just seen the news coverage and I've been a little worried about you. Be safe
Southern treat - RC Cola/4 corner nabs/Moonpie. NC gal here... that combo is from the 60's. Haven't had one in about 40 years lol. Thanks for your service, Cody. Be safe.
It's great to know you guys keep the communities safe. Stay safe out there.
Well, you are fortunate with that lunch. When I was a regular FS guy in Region 5, we got far less variety or volume with lunch, and not such a nice mix. Also they put mayo on all sandwiches then let the bagged lunches sit in the sun. Yummmm -- great chemistry!
Mayo was ALWAYS packaged speratley from the bread. Ben there Done that
Love these little videos! Will hopefully be on the line next season but working at an air attack/tanker base this year in cali. Stay safe!
Thank you for your service. Much appreciated!! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for being there Cody. Stay safe.
Thank you Cody for what you do for your neighbors and your nation. Without people like you many people would be totally unprotected from wildfire. Thanks to your family too. They also make it possible for you to do what you do. Godspeed and may He protect you and your fellow firefighters through all of this.
Considering this is how I found your channel originally I'm loving the fire fighting stuff again 👌🏻
Thank you
I love these videos, as someone who is gonna do this during college, these videos give me allot of insight
This channel helped me a lot with getting into wildland firefighting. I appreciate it!
Whoa, is that one lunch or two? Thank you, Cody, and all your fellow wildland firefighters. This fire season got really busy in the last couple of weeks or so.
Stay safe cody and crew you guys rock 👍
Thank you for doing a job most of us would never be able to do.
Thank you for your Service
Your wild land fire fighting videos are the best
We have the Moon pie and RC Cola Festival every year out here in Bell Buckle, TN. Good times.
Yea buddy, amazing adventures and some of the greatest people.
thanks for taking us along Cody
Your videos have such purpose and your love for people and the earth!? Your son is so. Leased to have you. I have Crohns disease and am diabetic not over weight and deal with Tourette's syndrome. They are not me and I've been able to volunteer as well as my 17 year old son. Mom died of Cystic Fibrosis and sister is in college so my son and I have learned so much from you and the family we love working together yet it so cool to see him think for himself. Thank you.
Loving your wildland videos! Keep it up!
Godspeed Cody! May our Lord bring all of you safely home.
Moon pies are awesome, thank you for your work as a wild land fire fighter, you have inspired me to be one in the future. God Bless You
Thank you for the insight to fire fighting. Thank you for your service even though I am in Canada.
20 years ago I would have been standing there with you.
I have a Ms 311, love it. Not a pro saw but it will still throw down. Stay safe Cody
They’re really sweet guys. Glad they are taken care of. Thank you for everything 💖
I miss and love the Wildland Firefighting videos! Not to suggest I wish for wildfires but these are the videos I enjoy the most. Be safe Cody!! God Bless.
Stay safe out there.
Great video! Thank you for showing us what the brave people do to keep us safe, thank you!
Really enjoying these videos!
Never had a moon pie? It will change your life lol
moon pie and an rc cola...I am an anomaly in the south, sir. I like neither...
They're ok I guess.
Outdoors With The Morgans I'm from Tennessee. They are made in Chattanooga and I've had one fresh and still hot from manufacturering. I love Moonpies and it changed my life and perception on what is true love. Lol 😆🤘🖒
Now boiled peanuts! Not enough homage is paid to the boiled peanut, the perfect snack food. I could live on boiled peanuts. Even the Peanut Patch canned boiled peanuts are awesome, but you have to cook them right. Start with the Cajun, put in twice as much water, a ton of sea salt and my secret ingredients: Emeril's Cajun seasoning and Carolina Reaper chili peppers. Oh man....If people only knew...
First Moon Pie, WOW! Now if we can just get Cody to put peanuts in his Coke.
Moon Pies, definitely a southern thing. Old Timers talk about RC Cola and a Moon Pie. Here in NC it was Cheerwine and a Moon Pie. As a kid in the 80's we would put a Moon Pie in the microwave for 10 seconds. The marshmallow puffs up and chocolate melts, eat it with a fork, oh so good! Stay safe Cody!
The "hateful red delicious". Hahaha! I worked at a fancy resort here in Western WA when I was in college and they insisted on keeping a bowl of red or green delicious apples on the front desk for guests at check-in. I tried many times to convince them to change to a better apple, but the refused because they wanted the aesthetic.
Nice footage. It feels as though someone else edited this video besides you... Still pretty good though, especially if it was Jack!
He did all of it on his phone! Tough to edit that way. mrsW
Wow!! Thats an amazing job then! Cody is still giving us quality videos while he is out there. God Bless him! He is one of my role models, along with Joel Salatin, and Paul Gautschi
Those 2 are amazing role models....I'm pretty biased about Cody as well. :) MrsW
Please be safe out there! Troutdale is on a Stage1 evac alert as of Thurs morning....
Be safe out there buddy!
Moon pie! Those are made in my town Chattanooga Tennessee! Yes that is a southern thing. I hope you ate and enjoyed it. Keep up the good work fighting fires. We are battling hurricanes in my region.
Moon Pies and little Debbie's are best when fresh. Not sure what they taste like outside of Tennessee. But here there very delicious!
I agree on the red delicious apple. I might eat one if I am hungry and there is nothing else to eat.
Yep, they're the worst.
It's a crunchy water sphere - no flavor
Honeycrisp!
mbcris - I really like Gala followed closely by golden delicious.
i like Granny Smith but that can be a bit tart for some people. Fuji, Macintosh, Pink Ladies are all very flavorful.
You hang tough Mr. Wrangler⭐️, simplicity is always the best strategy.
I give you firefighters a lot of credit for the work you do, who else volunteers to go work like a dog in the middle of hell to save stuff and people just because you will! Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you! Stay safe.
Love those Sikorsky's... no photo ever does them justice compared to being right next to one. Rain hasn't showed here yet, hope you all get some soon as well.
I completed my first season fighting wildland this month! It is without the best job I've ever had. Can't wait for next season!
how long were you gone ?
I really want to do this , Despite me having a two year old.
Once again Mr. Cody Wranglestar.....Thank you.
Yes, moonpie are very southern!
Hey thanks for coming up here to Washington to help fight our fires. Seems like they are feeding you better than the last time you showed a lunch. Looks better than a cold bologna Samich
Wow! Gourmet lunch. I never saw anything that nice on any fire I was on, however, breakfast and dinner were always awesome. Food was so good on one fire that I was stuck in fire camp on that I put on 8 pounds in 14 days.
Eyes constantly assaulted with salt from sweat. Ashes in the nose. Constantly getting a lung full of smoke. Then the flare ups that make your run from the fire line to keep from getting scorched. Fun stuff... and yes, I mean that...it was fun. I loved it.
So i live in walla walla wa and our town is smoked out to the point where we have a half mile of visibility. Never have had that happen before. So also want to say thank you for being a wildland firefighter and fighting the fires and protecting the wildlife and peoples homes. Have an awesome day.
Gettin ash all the way over here in Issaquah. Stay safe boys!!
Thank you so much for this video
Keep up the important work, please stay safe!
Would you say it’s harder to breath when you out doing wild land work, or truck work and venting roofs
I Hope you are doing well out there. Stay safe.
I'm over six foot and I'm always changing the handles on my hand tools cause there always short me to
I love a little bean salad like that. I agree about the red delicious apple though. The worst.
God's best to you Cody! Thanks for all your hard work fighting the fires and trying to save people's homes and surrounding land! God protect you and everyone else out there and bring you home safe!
Thank you Rhonda
you do good work codey be safe out there
Hey Cody ! I have a few questions about wildland firefighting to you , can we chat somewhere ?
He's out on the fire right now. Email him at Cody @ wranglerstar he may be able to get back to you when he returns. Unfortunately we get so many that we are unable to respond to them all. Thank you for your understanding. mrsW here
Thank you MrsW ! And thanks for your great videos !
You are welcome!
If Cody cant get back to you then you can email me with any questions. I am recently retired wildland fire captain. I have helped dozens of youngsters get their careers started and have run both hotshot type crews as well as engine crew in both Montana and Northern California districts. roymac3bravo@gmail
My co-workers son is on a crew in Oregon. Stay safe out there ladies and gentlemen.
I uploaded video of a larger remote control tracked chipper last winter it's got a 500h.p. Cat engine apparently and loaded with an excavator with a log grapple. Incredible things to see in action.
I’m probably a little bit late, but what did you do to get your foot in the door, any prerequisites and training, any volunteer work, I’m interested in this job
Looks a lot better than some of your previous lunches!
I'm living in Gresham and that smoke is everywhere you need to put that fire out please
2:32 "Is it wireless or bluetooth?" bruh
He eats better than me when I'm at home😂
Awhile back you did a video of cutting down on the weight in your wild land fire fighting pack, the Mystery ranch that we just saw in this video. Have you been able to cut any more weight since, and have you noticed a difference while using it?
thanks for sharing with us
Thank you for your service sir I hope to also become a wildland firefighter.
Cody, I'd really appreciate the model of that modular pack system by Mystery Ranch. As always, great videos.
Thank you.
Mystery Ranch Hot Spot + Crew Bag and Hydro 3L. He has also used a Coaxsher Ranger Pack but if I remember right he didn't like the way that it didn't do tight compression on all of the components, so he went to the Mystery Ranch. Both are pretty good packs.
Thank you for helping you are amazing I appreciate you saving our wounderful forests
I’m very interested in this career, but what’s the pay like
It’s sad I go back and watch these old Wildland Fire videos, wish you would make some new ones
I do agree wholeheartedly with you on your opinion of red delicious apples.
cheerful music playing, wildfire burning in the backround.
