Great content. As a true snowgeek following all skiraces I believe this kind of content is really positive for the sport. Thanks and have a nice 2023. Cheers from Sweden.
82 WC WINS 👑 Any adjective would not be enough to describe what you are doing on the slopes, as it is something we have never seen in the history of alpine skiing. So just thank you Mikaela for the show you put on every time you ski down a race course. Thank you for teaching us to dream the impossible and thank you for showing us how to keep the flame alive even in the most difficult times. I'm so proud of you, legend. Like you nobody else 🤍 TO INFINITY AND BEYOND ✨
Your greatness rises above your skiing. Your kindness, sportsmanship, resilience, toughness and inclusiveness are wonderful parts of your character. Heading toward 86, God Bless.
Thank you for saying this...accessibility is so important, and we - as an industry - need to do better in order for this sport to thrive for generations to come!! Thank you for your support!
You've been my favourite skier since 2015 and you just kept on crushing it, year after year. And I know in my heart that your father is watching over you, like a hand on your shoulder each time you ski down the slopes, sharing your happiness each time you have a great race and comforting you when things don't go the way you planned it. Keep up the great work and stay true to yourself because that's the version of you we love the most! Greetings from Slovenia, Europe! - Tilen
It's really a pleasure to get up at morning and see her skiing, so talented and elegant that sometimes she make me get goosebumps. Hope to see her racing live these years
So hip! Loving the peek behind the scenes and the awesomeness of Killington venue. Especially the fans! This series you are creating is such a pleasure and joy to experience through your eyes and actions. Thank you soooooo much for all these good vibes. Congratulations on World Cup win #80. Mikaela, you are truly in a league of your own. Inspiring & greatness is exemplified by you. 👏💐❤⛷🏆
It's great to see the more personal side of your life outside the TV interviews. Congratulations on a fantastic end to '22 on the slopes and best wishes for a fabulous, happy and healthy new year! ✨️💖
She is so great. The eagle soars, and always rises to the top of the totem pole. Lifes challenges can sometimes set us back in different ways and bring us into self doubt. With Gods help, the true champions rise above that doubt and embrace their knowing. Way to go Mikaela, you really deseve it. Have fun and enjoy each memorable race, and day.
Happy new year. Thanks for making ski racing so much fun to watch. Because of you I’m addicted. Congrats on #80! Can’t wait to watch the rest of the wins to come.
Thanks for this Mikaela. My Wife and I love to go ski after watching you race. It’s inspiring how graceful you are. Good luck on reaching the magic number 😉
Thank you THANK YOU for this kind of content and for contributing into making such a wonderful sport more mainstream. Congratulations on the last few days’ winS. it’s always a wonder to see you ski 🫶
Great job bagging 122 WC points in Cortina. Now you have over 500 points lead in the overall, which I suspect is your ultimate goal. Will be watching the Kronplatz shenanigans. :)))) ... Oh, and Aleks was awesome.... and not just winning on the second day but for the save of the year. Maybe the decade.
Wow Miki! It’s an amazing series! 🤩I love your way of interacting with fans, especially kids, to make them live the dream of meeting their idol! The moments with your family are so intense too 😊 They have all the reasons to be VERY PROUD of you, as skier but above all for the person you are. Your best win is to be always sunny and funny. Thanks a lot for these little clips of you. 😊Congrats again for your latest successes in Semmering and Happy New Year!! I really hope to see you in Cortina, it will be one of my best moment ever! 🤗
I hope you will not retire for a long time, because there will not be an other racer to watch performing on your level, maybe forever. You cannot improve on perfection. Thank you. ❤
Love this series soooo much. Thank you Miki for sharing these moments with us. And big congrats for your latest achievements, which are simply amazing. Also, Happy New Year to you and your family! I wish you all a healthy, lovely and successfull 2023 :)
When I was in 6th grade in 2014 we got to write an essay about our role model. I wrote about you and I actually did the same five years later when we got kind of the same assignment in english class ( to be fair this one was a bit deeper than back in 6th grade lol) But what I want say is that seeing you racing whilst growing up really shaped me and I'm beyond grateful that I was able to do so. Thank you so much, it's really inspirational what you do, both on and off the slopes! Wish you all the best for the future!
Happy New Year, Miki. I was in Semmering to watch the race, even though I'm a fan of Petra, I have to admit that your skiing was amazing, congratulations on the hat-trick☺️🤩❤️ Greetings from Slovakia 🇸🇰😉
Beautifully done. Perfectly captures the essence of the experience and the people living it. Formula 1 could learn from this. "Drive to Survive" is not an authentic view. And you, Mika, are such a class act quite apart from your obvious skillset. God speed!
Mikaela's senior quote in her high school yearbook is "dream of living the life that you are actually living today." -Alan Watts. I've never had a chance to sit and discuss that choice with Mikaela. It's definitely a fascinating quote for her to pick. Here it is in a more extended form. "I’m not trying to prove it, I’m just putting it forward as a possibility of life to think about. “So then, let’s suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream that you wanted to dream, and that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time, or any length of time you wanted to have. And you would, naturally as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure you could conceive. “And after several nights, of 75 years of total pleasure each, you would say ‘Well, that was pretty great. But now let’s have a surprise. Let’s have a dream which isn’t under control. Where something is going happen to me that I don’t know what it’s going to be.’ And you would dig that and come out of that and say ‘Wow, that was a close shave, wasn’t it?’ And then you would get more and more adventurous, and you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream. “And finally, you would dream where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today. That would be within the infinite multiplicity of the choices you would have."
Thanks for that. Interestingly I had a dream where I died. And on the other side had a chat with God and I said: “Wow! Thank you God, that was an absolutely fantastic life, it was truly awesome.” And then God said a few things to me, and I was rather dumbstruck. My next words were: “Oh no, I wish I could go back and give it another go.” And then I woke up..... so was able to do just that. That one dream changed the course of my life - and is Exactly in line with what you’ve presented in your comment.....
I just want to add after the first Zagreb race that the English language ran out of adjectives describing what are you doing right now. There are just no words left and we are the privileged ones who can actually witness this.
7:10 I've never heard anyone booing at a world cup race. seems like the crowd is very sportsmanlike. I personally always ring a cowbell or whack my poles together for whoever's racing
I draw personality similarities to Katelyn Tuohy, it would be wonderful one day to see these two sitting down together and sharing their thoughts, I reckon you would really be a brilliant influence for katelyn especially with your work ethic.
You're beautiful. Obviously you're smart. And I can always tell when you're sad, because you hide behind your defiance when you are. When you're happy, all of you is happy. Even your hair. You don't have a mean bone in your body, and I thought they didn't make them like that any more. You're funny. When you listen, you look interested. You're kind. And you wear your heart on your sleeve, which can be terribly intimidating. MM
