I am Slovak and love our Petra, but Mikaela is in a different league. Now, she represents one of the best role models in the modern world. Not just from a sports world perspective but also as a human and an influencer. I hope she will stay this modest and human. Massive applause to her and her parents for raising such a fantastic human. Thanks.
first of all it does her honor to recognize the value of the main opponent, the one par excellence of the very strong Petra... But above all, I'm happy that other people are able to grasp the quality, the best aspect, of Mikaela: the humility and genuineness of the girl... before the champion. Petra is like that too I think... only competitively badder, emotionally stronger...😏 Greetings from Italy and we also have respectable female skiers😊😉
Your words at the end really made me cry 😭 thank you for being such an inspiration and congrats on all your wins! You deserve it and I couldn’t be happier for you ❤️
I am from Slovakia, Mikaela congrats! Best alpine skier ever…so good-hearted person and so humble. I like watching alpine skiing because of you, like watching your stories. Thank you. Great as an athlete and also as a human. I wish all the best.
From someone who lost her father to head trauma, I was very moved by this episode. You are an incredible role model for the sport of skiing. I wish you the best.
I am sorry you have to feel that pain, that would be so very difficult. I think I resonate with her as well at some level. I lost my father to a medical accident (a catheter tube through the pericardium that caused a heart attack) I often wonder what he would say about my life now with the many good things. It would be cool for him see all the great things that came because of him, even a entry level ski coach and level 2 skier would be something I know he would think was pretty cool.
History is not just in the middle. You are history! I had a dream day of skiing with one of my idols last February, Debbie Armstrong. What an amazing person! My skiing life after 53 years would be complete if I could spend the day skiing with you and Lindsey Vonn. I have figured that I've watched at least 80% of your races live. The ones that I couldn't watch, I tracked on the live timing on FIS. Got up at 2:30 in the morning to watch you in Europe. Watched your success, watched your struggle and heartache, and rooted for you every week. GO!
It will likely never happen but boy would I love to see mom join you on a podium. Eileen, you ARE the wind beneath her wings. You ....and him! Much love
Moved to tears, so heartfelt, reflective, inclusive, fun, emotional, inspiring, past, present and future hopes, aspirations, goals, brilliance all wrapped up in beauty, dedication, excellence, grace, class, and humility. Unparalleled champion, Mikaela, you deserve every moment of glory. Thank you for being, doing, sharing. ⛷❤💐🏆
Thank you for teaching me to believe in myself. Thank you for stimulating me to push my limits further. Thank you for helping me to be strong and fight against difficulties. Thank you for showing me that I can rise after a failure. Thank you for teaching me to be kind and humble. Thank you for helping me to be the best version of myself. Thank you for showing me that if I manage to find something I love doing, than I can't be afraid of dreaming the impossible, because passion is stronger than any obstacle. Thank you Mikaela. You deserve everything 🤍
You made me crying a lot. Your dad would be absolutely proud of you, be sure of this. Thank you for the amazing person you are, thanks for sharing these emotions with us and thank you to all people who are closer to you, like your family and teammates, ‘cause if you are this beautiful person it’s also because of them.
Well Mikaela - your Dad was and would be so proud and not simply due to your winning and making history but for the Champion - champion person - that you are!
Congratulations on 83. Thanks for these videos. They have been wonderful. I’d love to see even more. A full day in the life. A full week in the life. A day of training. A day of travel. I’d love to get an even better sense of what it’s like to ski on the World Cup circuit. What do all of the coaches do? How are courses set? How important are the wax techs? How do you work with them? What is course inspection like? How can you possibly seem to memorize the course? I’d love to see a training run with a go pro and with someone following you. What sort of strategy do you use? How does it differ on second runs when you have the lead? Do you train with weights and in the gym during the season? I’ve mentioned this before but there needs to be a full proper documentary series about this topic. If it was centered on you, great, but it would be even better if a bunch of skiers were followed. Or even focusing on an up and comer like Paula Moultzon. Anyway, I’m a huge fan of the sport from the US and have been following your career since you were 17. And I’ve seen at least 70 of your wins and way more than 150 of your races. So, I’m definitely a huge fan. And it bugs me that you are not top of mind of all sports’ fans in the US. You should be as big as Roger Federer or Serena Williams or Tiger Woods. And I can’t help but think how the US Ski and Snowboard Federation and FIS have totally squandered the opportunity to market the sport while you are having this historic run. Anyway, sorry for the mini rant. My biggest hope is that when you win number 87, the pressure will be completely off and you can ski the rest of your career for fun and without expectations. Wouldn’t that be great? Anyway, thanks for the great memories and congratulations.
This is a wonderful series. Your willingness to share all the intimate details certainly makes a huge positive impact for young people world wide. You had a great day today. Best of luck tomorrow.
So, so, so good. Everything about these episodes is gold. Video time-capsules. The tone, the style and the edits are beautiful. An authentic view beats a contrived show, any time. It also seems to me that your dad is now fully integrated into your psyche and your skiing. There is just something different this year. The flow of the energy is fluid. Congrats on #83 and now #84. You are truly in a class of your own. Kudo's Mika. Carry on.
Grace, power, precision, you have it all. Congrats on a huge win! Thank you for sharing precious private family moments. He would be so incredibly proud, we all are. Keep inspiring.
Mikaela i have lost all the words to define you and what your are doing for sport, not only alpine skiing.. the passion, the emotions and all the values you are revealing to everyone is one of the biggest gift you could do. I hope i'll meet you one day just to say THANKS for beeing simply Mikaela in your greatness!! Go on skiing for years and years
Miki!! As always fantastic video. Thanks a lot for sharing with us fans parts of what goes on in your head, your emotions, fears, joy, and tears. It really is such a gift for us and I really would love to have a better way to show you how much we all really love you and cheer for you than a simple comment. That being said, fantastic two runs today, showing again what a champion you are, really one of a kind. Love you Miki, thanks for all the wonderful emotions you make me. Keep it up and as my grandpa would have said, Ad Maiora
Thank you for your amazing stories and all emotions that you share with us. You have such an enormous impact on younger skiers, you can't even imagine. We moved from Slovenia to Switzerland few years ago and my daughter recently started training in Skiing Club, and when they asked her, do you wanna be like Marco Odermatt and Wendy Holdener when you grow up? she said loud and clear: "NOOO! I wanna be like Mikaela Shiffrin!" 😁😁 people didn't know what to say and this is an example how you inspire younger generations and I find it fantastic. Just by being who you are..We wish you all the luck in the World and hope too see you in Kranjska Gora next year 🤩🤩
Wow❤this episode gave me goosebumps from the very beginning. That moment with you and Paula is one of the best scenes in the whole season. You’re the greatest on and off the slopes and absolutely the most kind-hearted athlete I know. Keep rocking!!
What you were saying about history and what it all means really spoke to me. Because you are young, history is in front of you. You are making history as you go. Because I am old (relatively) history/time seems to be behind me, but even more than that, it seems to take on an illusory quality, in which I am letting go of the past and the present becomes apparent as the only reality. The past has already passed away and lives only as subjective memory.
It amazes me how some people live so much of their lives in the public eye yet they have the same aspirations, desires and emotions that almost every human being shares. The ability to make such amazing stories and share them with the world is also something truly incredible. Successful people while living very public lives still had a lot more privacy back in the day then they do now. I can't imagine have so much scrutiny directed at you while still having to perform. This brilliant and talented persons story fascinates me and I can't tell you why. It's just a pleasure to share this journey with them in a very limited way and to have a very small glimpse into their busy busy lives. These are brilliant and interesting thought provoking stories. In a strange way this is the epitome of modern story telling done in a exceptional way. The production level of this series is very high and I tip my hat to the exceptional editing, production and writing. Thanks to all those involved for your time and efforts in producing such a entertaining series and your quest to share the story of this talented young person. This is literally history in the making. Cheers.
The last part of the video made me cry🥺 I used to watch ski racing with my grandma when I was smaller. Yesterday would have been her birthday so seeing you winning on that day was actually really special for me. Congrats on 83, that's huge!!
Just found your channel yesterday and I'm trying to catch up. Love the words you choose to try and convey what you are experiencing and feeling. Thank you Mikaela.
Thany you Mikaela for this kind of great contant. The last few words making me crying (I don't often cry). I hope that it come also on Netflix that everyone can see how great you are. Congrates to you #84 victory 🥇
From the very beginning Mikaela was simply a simple and a very kind human in all her interviews. Initially I was surprised / astonished how maturely she speaks when she was giving her first interviews. It was a pleasure to listen. And what we see now - every time we hear her, we see a role model to follow. Thank you for sharing this with your emotions, I am happy to see history happening around... It is really fantastic that we can see all this and participate in all this with you...All the best for you in this coming mystery which I hope will be nice and bright...
You are an inspiration to the younger ones who wants to be just like you in their own way! ❤ Your Dad is watching this from Heaven proudly "that's my Mikaela".
You are the one and only! You are the best! You made me cry… Your dad would have been so proud of you! Keep doing what you do because you’re the best! I feel really blessed and grateful to have met you not once but twice! I love you! ❤
Race after race, year after year, you're making History ! How ? By winning of course, by putting emotions in our heart when we are watching at your ski, by inspiring little girls and boys to be the next ski legend or just to push themselves every day in sport and life. You're a human living his own history with good moments and more sad ones, but watching you getting up every time and adding new pages to the books, is watching History. Whish yours could be as beautiful as the one you write in sport. Thanks for all GOAT ! 🐐🔥
Mikaela, you are a special person, you are a legend, all of us are grateful for living with you in one world, one time, you are an inspiration for very many people, watching you is a great feeling, thank you for giving us all that emotions, inspiration you give to others, I love your sincerity, hard working no matter what, you are a very great person and you have a great family, your dad definitely proud of you, you are very strong mentally. "Moving Right Along" is a great way to see how it is, being a part of Alpine skiing for such a legendary sportsman, it's very interesting, and we will wait for Episode 4. Wish you all the best in Courchevel/Meribel and of course I wish you to get your 86th and 87th victory this season, you definitely deserve it, G.O.A.T in Alpine Skiing.
Thanks to Mikaela and the whole team! The edition is wonderful and I guess we all can connect with this inspirational message. Such a incredible woman you are
It shouldn’t feel anything because it’s not about winning - it’s about throwing down the perfect lines and that’s why…. You are still searching to understand the result of your time. Stick to chasing perfect turns - it’s much more meaningful ✌🏼❤️👊🏼🇺🇸
Very inspiring. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement. Just embrace being the best, don't doubt yourself, you are where you are because of who you are.
I have watched you since you first burst onto the competitive scene and been amazed by your skill, but this season you are totally in a league of your own! The honest and poignant messages in your Moving Right Along series are worthy of the same recognition! Simply inspirational!
Miki, it’s just all part of YOUR journey. Enjoy the ride! Congrats on all your success! I’m sure you know down deep what he’d of said, done, and will continue to say. He’s always going to be there, your guardian angel. Aloha. 😇🙃🤙🏽
Great rapportage and wow some heavy meaningful words at the end! Very honest and true!! Beautifully said, with trying comes failure, and although that may be a regret, this process leads to success and happiness! Never thought about it this way. Thank you!!
Your gift is truly amazing. Your example is excellent. Your desire is stellar. Been watching you ski for a very long time and it has been worth it to watch you excel. Well done. The past has been rewarding. The future looks bright. Congrats 👏
These Videos are so cool and Great to Watch! Have so much respect for you as an Athlet but even more for you as a Person! The end of this Video Made me cry for minutes🥺 Really wish you all the best, you deserve it just because of the way you are!🤗
Congratulations Miki! It was mesmerizing and fantastic to see you break this record and share this moment with you via the screen. You are history in the making (as all are in some way), and so many of us will be with you on the way to cheer you up and see you doing your magic all over again. ❤💯🔥🎉 And you proved to be a great human being in your most glorifying moment by first saying thanks to the people doing the work on the pitch. Those beautiful finishing thoughts in this video are also a message about your greatness! Lots of love and the best for you today! The sky is the limit if there is any for you! ❤
Really enjoy these videos. So cool to get a glimpse of everything that goes on behind the scenes and to hear your thoughts. The amount of work that goes into just one season is incredible: the training, testing, traveling, preparations, press, practice and racing. I have the biggest respect for all of you🙏👏🎩
Thanks Miki for this fantastic video. Thanks for sharing your adventures, your emotions and your thoughts with us! And thanks because you let us take part to HISTORY! You are and always be my idol. Luca from Italy
I love these series so much💕. Thank you that you show us behind the scenes. When you today arcoss the finish line I started crying, because I was so happy for you. Congratulations to you #84 victory. Best from Austria🤩
You're such an inspiration! Nothing makes me happier right now than watching you ski. I hope I can go to Åre to watch live for the first time, but if not I'll make sure to sometime go watch another event in person.
You never fail to put a smile on my face & hope in my heart! It’s hard to express how your journey has encouraged me over the last decade, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep the good turns coming ❤
Congratulations on setting new records! And for a wonderful, heartfelt video. Hope your talent shines brighter than your smile on the slopes & inspiring others for many more years!
Thank you so much for this touching episode.🥹Many of us have been following your progress since your debut in the World Cup. In all these years you have brought us so much joy and the fact that you still have two lengths to reach Ingemar Stenmark’s record makes everything much more exciting. 😬Congratulations on the 8️⃣3️⃣& 8️⃣4️⃣ victories 🥂🍾 and good luck in the slalom races on Saturday and Sunday.🤞 I will cheer 🥁🥳 for you from the lands of Transylvania. 🏰🦇
I love your perspective Mikaela. Your understanding that it is the search for the perfect turn, then turns that sometimes culminates into a near perfect or perfect run. Your willingness and drive to put in the endless reps and training allows us all to feel the moments when you cross that line again and again with the fastest time. You and your team do all the work and millions of us get to share the pure joy that is watching you ski and show us what it means to be a good human at the same time.
I am so proud of everything you have accomplished up to this point and what you will continue to achieve moving forward. You are truly inspiring and a role model to be proud of. Congrats on achieving history...
This was absolutely beautiful! I can't personally say what your Dad would have said. That would be between you and him. If you have a moment of peace and quiet, you will hear him. I would think of the film clips that I have seen, he would have had tears of joy with a smile saying " You're the best, Kid!"
Best video yet in this series 👍🏻 The skiing is great. The interaction with the fans is wonderful. I love seeing that side of you. You grabbed my attention in Sochi and I have never looked away. More talent and dedication than anyone has ever brought to the sport. I am continually amazed. There is so much more to your story that is yet to be told. I will be watching in amazement. 🥰
Great Job! You are an inspiration for all of us. You are what hard work and determination looks like. You are making a difference in so many ways both on and off the course! God bless and God speed!
The whole series is great, but this video especially, was amazing. The way you put all the hard work, successes, failures, tragedies and happiness was very beautiful and touching. It is a pleasure to watch you compete over the last decade plus and I am not going to wish you success or records, because with the hard work, dedication and professionalism, they will come. Enjoy the ride and keep smiling.
Such a great resource and privilege to be allowed into the World of the best ever while in her prime. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring us to be better in our normal day to day. As regards your question how to feel/do just be you and the rest of us will try harder 😉
These videos are wonderful as it has been to witness one of the greatest athletic achievements of all time, in any sport. To do it in a sport like alpine skiing, with more vagaries than any other, is astonishing. From Colorful Colorado, thank you for brightening our world and congratulations on all your achievements so far and to come!
In the past like two weeks, I cried like three times, twice for both GS at Kranjska Gora and this morning. As a young canadian ski racer, I din't really had model. But now as a 23 years old retired athlete, I see you destroying every possible record on the ski tour and becoming an insperation for youg north american ski racer and i'm deeply touch. You're impressive, you're an insperationnal source. Even if I have to say that Val Grenier is Canada's futur, you're simply on an other level, congrats for that 83th, juste four more to go!
I don't know if you will read this comment but I would like to tell you that you have always been an inspiration to me, we both from 1995 and seeing what you were able to do so young (I remember 2012) helped me a lot during bad times and today seeing this video made me cry Just thank you for all

Emotionally stronger okey. I saw today.🫡
Petra is a marvelous woman. It is good to know that she is cherished by her own Slovakia.
I’m not crying, someone’s cutting onions 🥹✨
Your words at the end really made me cry 😭 thank you for being such an inspiration and congrats on all your wins! You deserve it and I couldn’t be happier for you ❤️

I am from Slovakia, Mikaela congrats! Best alpine skier ever…so good-hearted person and so humble. I like watching alpine skiing because of you, like watching your stories. Thank you. Great as an athlete and also as a human. I wish all the best.
Loved your reflections about going 1,2 with Paula! What an incredibly special occasion. Here’s to many more double podiums for Team USA! 🇺🇸
From someone who lost her father to head trauma, I was very moved by this episode. You are an incredible role model for the sport of skiing. I wish you the best.

@@mikaelashiffrin Wow, thank you so much for your answer. I wasn't expecting that) I'll be waiting)
Don’t call her GOAT because she pictures an actual goat, lol. Maybe we should get her a baby goat at the end of the season. LMAO
I love these great insights, thanks Mikaela!
I have watched you since you first burst onto the competitive scene and been amazed by your skill, but this season you are totally in a league of your own! The honest and poignant messages in your Moving Right Along series are worthy of the same recognition! Simply inspirational!

Great rapportage and wow some heavy meaningful words at the end! Very honest and true!! Beautifully said, with trying comes failure, and although that may be a regret, this process leads to success and happiness! Never thought about it this way. Thank you!!
This made me cry, you touched my heart. ❤
Your gift is truly amazing. Your example is excellent. Your desire is stellar. Been watching you ski for a very long time and it has been worth it to watch you excel. Well done. The past has been rewarding. The future looks bright. Congrats 👏

Really enjoy these videos. So cool to get a glimpse of everything that goes on behind the scenes and to hear your thoughts. The amount of work that goes into just one season is incredible: the training, testing, traveling, preparations, press, practice and racing. I have the biggest respect for all of you🙏👏🎩
I love these videos. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes on your journey to more history, successes, failures, and exciting adventures along the way.

Just a few more wins and it's a done deal. Greatest of all time. Period!
These are wonderfully put together and I love the behind the scenes parts you share. You are inspirational. Keep it going.
Thank you🤗
Congratulations on 83!!
Thank you! More of these to come...but so glad you loved the most recent one!
Great Job! You are an inspiration for all of us. You are what hard work and determination looks like. You are making a difference in so many ways both on and off the course! God bless and God speed!

What a brilliant series! Don't get to see this stuff on Eurosport so thank you for the fascinating insight. And blimey, GOAT season or what 😀👏👏👏🙌
The whole series is great, but this video especially, was amazing.

Damn it, you made me cry and smile at the same time because of the philosophical words you spoke ❤️

So Cool 💪
In the past like two weeks, I cried like three times, twice for both GS at Kranjska Gora and this morning. As a young canadian ski racer, I din't really had model. But now as a 23 years old retired athlete, I see you destroying every possible record on the ski tour and becoming an insperation for youg north american ski racer and i'm deeply touch. You're impressive, you're an insperationnal source. Even if I have to say that Val Grenier is Canada's futur, you're simply on an other level, congrats for that 83th, juste four more to go!
Val is an amazing skier and person! Thank you so much for your support and kind words!!
You inspire me so much !!! Congrats on your 83rd win and more to come!!!❤

Just thank you for all
