Great review , one of the most detailed and explanatory I've see for some time. Flying Business Manchester to Melbourne via HK in a few weeks , many thanks.
I have not flown cx in nearly five years- frequented them from LAX-HKG-LAX. I might fly them from SYD-HKG-ORD, next year since their one-way business class fares are substantially less than Qantas and American. Good to see a review of their A350-1000, and as you said, the crew is consistently hospitable. safe travels
@@jimbohr That's a good route. Enough time to enjoy the food, entertainment and get a good sleep. The food isn't quite the same but in the long term I think they will come back just as strong. I'm still very pro Cathay and love the experience. I will be doing a follow up review may be late next year to see how they are coming along. Enjoy yourself 😊
We can fully understand why people would prefer the room with Ana over Cathay ✈️ it's much newer though. Cathays product may change over the next few years with the introduction of the new 777s Boeing aircraft
Lovely review. I have the pleasure of flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur via Hong Hong with Cathay in business class a few days from now. Your video realy contributed to my anticipatory pleasure. I am also really looking forward to your review of the lounges in Hong Hong since on my flight back I have a few hours to kill in Hong Kong that I plan to spent in the various lounges.
Hi Rogier thank you so much for your comment 👍you're going to have an amazing time. Be sure to try out the Pier Business class lounge. So many rooms to choose from 😎. Be sure to try the Cathay Delight🍷🎉 safe travels ✈️✈️✈️
When I lived in HK, my uncle flew CX on a monthly basis for his work, mostly in Business or 1st. I’ve always wanted to have the experience, hopefully next year for a reunion in HK. Hong Kong do 5* like no where else. Thanks for sharing your experience, uouge got another subscriber here.
They need to get rid of those hideous trays, makes the whole experience more like a high school canteen dinner. I would have preferred a 4th proper mains option - as you can see this is the infamous Cathay cost cutting marketing mind trick - so rather than offering (and paying more) for a 4th option, they just silently included 2 of the same items from the all day snack menu - at first glance u think there’s loads of option (5) only to realise it’s actually 3 mains + 2 (cheaper item) from the snack menu. Creative mind trick
Need I mention the beef cheeks on British Airways 😂. We think the food was slightly better before the pandemic. Good points in the food 🍲 🥘🌯. What's your favourite?
HIDEOUS TRAYS ???? !!!! Wow - what a complaint ! I just cant fathom a single cause of complaining about TRAYS ! I have lived a fairly decent life but now I know that even trays can be hideous.
@@karilamminpaa8987 when they introduced this so called “enhanced” dining 4 years ago those who have flown around enough knew right away this was pure cost cutting - at the end of the day they are able to load less mains and more (cheaper) snack items with some slight visual mind tricks on the menu. The tray didn’t add to the whole experience, my personal opinion is that it looked cheap and tacky - when compared to the competitors who at least covered it with white tablecloth or even further by implementing a completely tray-less meal service to really elevate the experience a la QR, SQ etc. The least they could do is at least to pick a decent tray i.e like the ones JAL or Etihad uses. At the end of the day CX J ain’t the cheapest around so the customer do get to nit pick if they’re paying that much cash.
Do not like this A350 at all, this is smaller plane and it is overall more crowded and the seat is smaller. Just flew to HK last month on business class after 3.5 years and was pretty disappointed at this A350. Cathay Pacific is downgraded.
One of the best airline reviews I have seen on UA-cam. Really useful as I am flying Cathay Pacific business class to Hong Kong next week. Many thanks
Thanks you so much Colin 👍feels like this was ages ago. You'll have an amazing time. Where are you flying to?
greatest airline in the world and nice review❤
@@yarkyimyat7731 what do you 💚 most about Cathay? We also don't disagree. Love flying them as well ✈️

Thanks Rob, you'll have a great time. The duvet is lush. The cabin crew are lovely to but the older the crew the better the service we say 😊

I think ANA has done a great job with business class... The room !! I was expecting similar with Cathay Pacific!!
