The GF bots sound funny to be honest, I'm honestly not even fussed about them existing if they aren't too annoying. They'd actually add entertainment and value to the game. A worthy gold sink.
Made an account in March 2020 because I hadn’t played in many years and, well, pandemic. Did every quest except for maybe 4(?) of them. Was basically on OSRS every day for maybe 7 months. Had a friend slide me some bonds from his main so I could play with him and chat on discord. This video was basically my experience of the game in 2020. Every single one of these bots were found thru my various runs of grinding and questing. It honestly got so annoying that I’d usually have public chat disabled in the GE. Haven’t played much in 2021 because I started working again in maybe December 2020 but I will be back soon.

the duel arena is worthless and is a game of gambling which jagex has changed ToS to be against, they cannot ban people for gambling if they themselves endorse it.
The point of gambling is the House wins and these bots (because that's what they are ) are scripted to stop you, when they started to use extra weapons or giving you faulty weapons and players began to stop using them and check they then DDOS to force a win

what was so bad about trade limits meaning you couldn't buy items worth 3mil for 1.5mkl against unsuspecting players who didn't know the true value?
Because legitimate players have no need to complain about trade limits, they buy and sell within the normal ranges of prices and thus stabilise the economy

Yeah i've also saw the bots that just type 0, i checked there stats on runelite and they all over 10k kc and no other boss kills. I was just curious what they were doing, i didn't suspect them to bots straight away but obviously this confirms it. Great work.
I logged into my account after a 6 month break and found it was banned. I appealed and the appeal was successful, logged in and I was at the GE wearing one of those gambling bot costumes with 1.5mil in my inventory.
I now have an authenticator.
Happened to me twice. Last time they would not let me recover it even though I could prove beyond a reasonable doubt that I was and have always been the original owner. They say they review them all manually and individually but that is a lie. They have an algorithm that automatically dismisses most recover claims and don't look over a damn thing.
The best bot I've seen at the GE was a bot that would tell you a joke for 50k. Wasn't disappointed.

Technically there would actually be 10,000 variations of each of the gambling bot names, because 0000 would be a valid combination. Jad_0000 would be the first possible name, and Jad_9999 would be the last name, giving a total of 10,000 names.

Think I found a botfarm you could look into, world 330 in relekka theres a steady flow of people teleporting to the area, and every now and then they will enter an empty message into the chat. I've seen 3 separate accounts do this. They are all geared, and go onto the docks to go somewhere, not sure where but i'm pretty certain they're bots.

There’s a couple bots running around in the soldier section of the kalphite lair picking up potato cactus’s.
Jagex honestly doesn’t get enough credit for things like this. This is the only game I really play that has “bots” affecting the economy, but when there are so many people exploiting the game for IRL profit, it’s fucking sad. So I appreciate that they actually try to make a difference, even if we don’t see it at more than surface level.

I've found huge amounts of bots in the woodcutting guild. There are like 15 accounts with random names with almost the same stats. They are all 90+ Woodcutting, imagine how many magic logs they chopped. WORLD 303!

Pugger, check shamans temple, tons of bots/gf. They are using team cape/bp and shaizen and when they go down into the temple they put prange and before clicking in the barrier, they use divine range, go to the hallway between room 1 and 2 and there they log if the rooms are full

Some sus stuff going on in the the kalphite dungeon near the lvl 85 kalphite soldiers. lvl 30s hopping world collecting potato cactuses and hopping worlds, all wearing addy armor.
there's a ton of bird house/herb farming bots right now. they are all like level 31 ish, wearing magic secateurs mostly no stats but 60-80+ hunter and farming. i see them every time i do bird runs and herb runs
I'm pretty sure I saw a bot literally dressed like the guy in the beginning of the vid earlier today with the king outfit, green scarf thing, and the chronicle and fan. Its 2022 already lol. Not to mention white unicorn man featured later on in the vid. I think there are lots of bots with the same outfits.
@SirPugger I spoke to the self-proclaimed owner of JAD today, so I do not know if it is actually him. He stated that he is developing a new bot to "stand over" other bots, so people can't see their emotes. His latest bot will be able to hijack a variant of PID, which I'll call PRIO. Every 2000 members in the world, like PID, have PRIO, managing things like which character is seen when there are many characters on the tile. JAD mentioned his bot will always have PRIO priority, so that his bots will always be able to block the other gambling bots. Interestingly, Vegas bots were very quickly muted when I used them.
Finally, I noticed that Vegas' odds decreased from Day 1 to Day 2. Day 1, Vegas had better odds than Day 2. Day 1 was habit forming, and giving customers the belief that they could profit off of this, that they're some sort of born lucky human being that defies statistics. Day 2 is when they start milking you. You start Day 2 off feeling great, and so you bet big. Then you lose a lot of it, bet some more, to determine if the pattern is true. But most people want to make up lost profit, and eventually end up borrowing money to try one last time, then end up borrowing more and more money because they keep trying to pay off previous debt.
Anyway, I personally made 6m. I made 10m, but it reduced to 6m today after losing about 2-4m in my last hours of betting.
If you really want to earn money as a new gambler, stop betting once you have earned a profit you deem reasonable. Also, other bot owners can earn bots to bet these gambling odds, so that they can't differentiate which customers are humans and which are bots. Bot owners keep a log of every customer, including how much they have earned or lost against them, how much they typically bet, how their behaviors are, etc. (machine learning would be an interesting tool to employ in generating behavioral addiction). Anyway, once you earn a little bit, and you start losing up to half of that profit, leave.

I was seeing several bots each world when I was hopping buying cosmic runes at Ali. I don't think they were buying runes as the stock wasn't changing but they were all around lvl 30 and had bot usernames.

I've seen so many bots at the master farmer in Draynor village and I saw a lot of accounts from level 20 to 30 running back and forth to the sawmill near Varrock and the bank while I was training rune crafting. I'm pretty sure those were bots too. Like 15 accounts at once around 3AM.

Those “4” biggest farms are run by 2-3 people and they use the same script. They aren’t competing with eachother, they’re partners in a sense. They share PMOD accounts, decide who gets what worlds etc etc.

Since it's okay to autotype on RuneScape I question how many people never log out and just auto type and afk some thing like splashing was. Voice to text is a thing too like keybinds/hotkeys so I question who made a song that activates voice to text to bot the game. It isn't modified software, it's how the computer would've been purchased and jagex accepts that. It'd move the mouse and click so it can do any thing if properly modified. They'd have to be the hotkeys in settings on the computer and not some botting client to make it more awesome.

And I can tell that they are bots cuz if ya stack both of the dragons in the corner nearest the fire orb the players will spam click both dragons even tho your attacking one of them

Yeah but with that there's a good risk of acute inflation. Even for a short time, could effect a lot of normal, non gambling players. With the right luck, the game could easily spawn trillions of gp into the game in the matter of minutes.

MTX are practically gambling anyway and they're allowed in games for minors, things like spin to win etc. They could find a gold sink somehow. Longevity is more integral to the game than something like gp gambles vs AI. Realistically G.E tax will be the best gold sink/item sink in the game, assuming they implement it correctly.

Ikr? When I first saw one it was a guy in full addy, and I thought he just want to buy a rune set. Turned out the guy or bot instantly accepted the trade when I put in the rune set with nothing in return. I declined and it stared autotyping again. Really weird.
