Kudos. Nice to see a young man with such a wealth of knowledge and so well spoken. As an educator, that’s nice to see. Anyway this layout and all of the, no doubt, hard work and hours upon hours that went into it is AMAZING.
Awesome Gentlemen & Ladies. Many thanks for all your efforts in building this wonderful pike, but also in the extra effort of sharing so often and so well!!!
I remember visiting Eric back during the rebuild in 2020 with my son. Gave me motivation to keep my garden train going. Thanks again for sharing the good memories and the only reason why I would only stop by Santa Cruz.
Love what ya’ll doing! For shits and giggles and people not aware, maybe a general value $$ number to sober up anybody contemplating jumping onto this Hobby. Having a very small set up, I have a fair idea of the investment your beautiful RR represents. (Maybe I shouldn’t have bought my new Corvette back in ‘07 and spend that dough on my RR LOL! )
La vostra realizzazione è veramente meravigliosa le costruzioni da voi realizzate sono veramente stupende il paesaggio siete arrivati al massimo ripeto il contesto è veramente eccezionale aspetto un' altro. Video grazie 👍👍👏❤️
So glad to see this video in honor of eric, i can’t wait to see what happens next, im happy to hear the trains will be preserved and hopefully an “in memory of eric” car gets manufactured for the next round.
Great post. Love your layout. My late brother in law had a garden layout and it was beautiful, small but beautiful including a hand built trestle bridge built from redwood and coat hanger wires. I have an N scale my daughter gave me many years ago when she was still a teen. I also have a HO scale which I have built two Christmas layouts and now working on a permanent layout on a 4X7 table. Bought it from a friend of mine (now deceased) after her husband passed. It is a Marklin they had purchased while in Germany during his army career. I hope to get back on it soon but I have too much going on currently with higher priority. I do enjoy viewing model railroading videos. Thanks for the great post.
@@tsgmultimediaNo I will have to check that out. I have purchased some additional Marklin components and cars since acquiring the initial set. My friend and her husband used to create a new setup every time they were restationed while he was in military then lost interest after retiring and moving to OK. She had MS or something like that and was wheelchair bound.
what a wonderful garden railroad. Its really giving me some inspiration. May I ask how the railways is powered? I.e radio control or electric, live steam? Great Video.
Great question and the answer is discussed at length during the video. Sorry I don't have time to find the time where it is, but if you watch the whole thing you'll get the whole story!
@@tsgmultimedia . Thanks I managed to pay a bit more attention without being disturbed and got the answer😂. Once again thank you for sharing. A fantastic model railroad.
2:26 this is a very nice model railway, unfprtunate to see it end, however I do highly recommend on your next rendition of the Railway, you put the "rac" back in "raccoon" because without it that word doesn't mean what you think it does. Plus, "Raccoon Gulch" just sounds better anyways, like it could be the name of an actual Old West town. Hope the best for you both in your modeling future and in lives in general
@tsgmultimedia I mean yes, that's why I said it the way I said it "put the rac back in raccoon." Obviously they are free to do as they please, it's their model railway, and a very good one and I hope the best in the future endeavors, however it still doesn't change what that word is or means. It's atleast something that should be strongly considered and if they move forward as is, then they can't be mad when people get upset
I'm not gonna argue. I thought it was an unfortunate choice, but like I said, it's explained, it makes sense, and the people aren't racists. If they were, I certainly wouldn't have anything to do with them!
@tsgmultimedia oh, no I certainly wasn't accusing you or them of being racist, I was trying to avoid that, my bad. I was just saying I understand that despite it being explained, I would recommend still changing the name anyway, plus, idk bout you but I think Raccoon Gulch sounds cooler lol. Sorry for the confusion tho, I certainly didn't mean to accuse you or them of anything, plus I'm still enjoying your content
I noticed you had a model of southern pacific number 8 is there place where i can find more information on your model i was gonna make one of number 9 in fn3 and maybe on30.
No, they were running a mix of different manufacturers equipment, including Bachman, which also makes F Scale (1:20.3) models, including addition to their G Scale (1:22.5). When you put the two scales together, you can see how much larger F Scale is. Cheers
Cool video guys Thanks. RIP Eric from Vancouver Island
Wonderful tribute to Eric and the crew. I will be watching for the new Fern Creek and hope it happens soon. Thank you all.
San to see this all go, but it is grand you are storing it to rebuild it again in the future. Good luck and keep having fun modeling railroads.
Cheers
Fun layout. Great trains. Live steam is hot.
“Running Shay’s on the main line is more fun than not doing it” 😂 so true!!
Thank you all for showing us this great garden railroad and sharing the story over the years. Greetings from Germany. You are an inspiration.

That's a lovely gift from Conductor Keith. 😊
How did the locomotives get watered before? 🤔
Wonderful video

You did a great job, it's a shame it will be coming to an end soon😥
So what happens now? Are they seeking a new spot to rebuild?

I think Trevor was pretty clear about what it means and how came to be called that.

They should make a youtube channel for this layout
Interesting….
What do you do in case of rain?
Trevor Park I think I’ve met you before. Do you work for the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad?
Didn’t FC&W close down? If so I hope it’s not for good. But closed seasonally. And will reopen soon.
I noticed you had a model of southern pacific number 8 is there place where i can find more information on your model i was gonna make one of number 9 in fn3 and maybe on30.
So In other words you're running bachmann g scale trains

Are you going to start a “go fund me” page?
I guess FC&W is closed for good. Until relocation. May Eric Child of the current property that FC&W sits on until being taken down RIP.🪦 😢
