- There are plenty of questions every year when you enter a new NASCAR season. 2025 has opened up a fresh can of worms in this aspect as well. Whether it be on or off the track, the real world or the virtual world, and everything between these there are mysteries for NASCAR. Today I want to pose some of my biggest questions entering the season because I think they make the season more interesting. These are 8 big questions for the 2025 NASCAR season

What are the biggest questions you have for the 2025 NASCAR season?
How many fans are gonna be complaining about the sport 16 laps into the 500.
Will Kyle Larson win the double 🤔?😊
Will we see a fight at the Clash at Bowman Gray on Sunday night because I really wanna see it if it happens on big FOX?
Will spire win a race
Will Amazon prime and TNT'S coverage be game changing and will they rise up and kick off there part of the new contract with a bang while fox sports continues to be fox sport's
That austin cendric cut scene is pure GOLD! 😅😆🤣
1. When will Ty Gibbs win a race?
2. Will Austin Cindric show us more on non RC/SS tracks?
3. Can Chase Elliott win multiple races in a season?
4. Can Bubba Wallace come close to matching Tyler Reddick?
5. Will RFKR make another leap and get a car to the Champ 4?
6. Will Daniel Suarez lose his job at Trackhouse?
7. Can Kyle Larson or Christopher win 8 races next season?
8. Can Joey Logano finish the regular season top 10 in points?
I like number 2 man. Austin Cindric is my favorite driver.
My answers (for fun could be wrong)
1. Eventually
2. Probably not
3. Possibly
4. Doubtful
5. I see more RO8 this year at best
6. Possible
7. There's a chance
8. We'll see
The interesting part on Elliott is he had won 2-5 races every year from 2018-2022. Just the last two years have been down.
I don’t see Ty Gibbs winning even once this year.
@@bighand1530 Yes. Agreed. I hate Ty Gibbs so much.
Consistency means nothing anymore... and wins mean less... winning at the right time is ALL that matters
I don't 100% agree. I think winning means more than a championship now. I'd rather be a driver in nascar "at this moment" and have 80 wins and 0 championships than like 12 wins and 5 championships.
@@tanjirouzumaki144 how can wins mean less when you win at the right time and win it all????
@@rks29 I just said winning at the right time is all that matters... read the WHOLE thing before commenting
@ i did and you contradicted yourself :)
@@rks29 well excuse me... winning doesn't mean shit... even the championship doesn't mean anything anymore... is that what you wanted me to say?
The biggest question I have how to get to 2025 is when 23XI and Front Row win their lawsuit if all $7.7B from the recent media deal gets drained from NASCAR's pockets and instead are handed to the teams. Perhaps then we can see some actual change with the Steves being completely bankrupt and out of a job.
If NASCAR goes bankrupt it’ll be more than the Steves out of a job.
The sloppy Steves
When? You mean if!
23XI can be removed regardless from the sport
That is if and it's a big if not when.
New playoff format: race every race, whoever has the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. Make race wins important by giving the winner a ton of points. Simple
Flipping is not a problem, it makes for great highlights. I'm tired of people being Karen's about anything that makes them scared.
I enjoyed the Denney Hamlin bracket and look forward to playing again! Id like to hope Josh Berry has a breakthrough year, but i doubt it.
I’m curious to how ratings will be with prime, I think it will be a decent gauge to see the state of the fan base.
The in season tournament is just going to cause more confusion with the current mess that is the points standings to keep track of, plus if the numbers are not great with prime that will only add to the confusion.
As far as the car itself, it’s gonna be junk until a full revision or a new car shows up. Band aids will not fix it
I see it droppin. Especially after that stint of races, I wonder how mu h revenue will drop after people cancel their subscription if thats all they want
Will NASCAR ever ditch the horrendous playoff format? No.
Thankfully
Free weekend time
A full season format is the only true way to crown a championship
Will NASCAR fans get over that fact? No.
You will never stop cars from flipping.
Yep I don't know why fans keep thinking NASCAR can do anything to stop cars from blowing over and flip. They can't they simply can't.
Exactly flips are a part of racing and will always be a part of racing.
Thank you, it’s part of the sport, always has been
True. No matter what, cars will flip
Remove that damn undertray and diffuser would prevent some of it though but flips are part of it.
Here’s my question: why do any of you care after what happened last year and the fact that nascar isn’t changing anything. You know Daytona is gonna be gridlocked, you know the short tracks are gonna be mid and you know the champion isn’t gonna be deserving.
Yeah I don't get it either, last season was HORRIBLE! I don't know what "fantastic racing" so many claimed happened last year it was the year that made me run back to IndyCar and F1 as I had in the mid 2010's for good...if IndyCar started their season in January and NASCAR wasn't first I wouldn't even bother watching the Daytona 500, I'm NOT paying to watch NASCAR anymore so only free TV races from now on, and I bailed as a full-time NASCAR viewer last year BEFORE it was controversial every week when it was just boring race after boring race, 2018 was less terrible than last year, yeah gridlocked packs running way off the pace and sports cars on short tracks AREN'T fun to watch! And those are most fans favorite types of races and NASCAR found a way to ruin them!
There it is 🏁
there was some fantastic racing, just most of it was at the intermediate tracks.
“Joey Logano won’t win” Let’s see what happens...
Who will be the first driver impacted by the new waiver rule?
Austin Cindric will be the big surprise this season
1. Will Kyle Busch snap his winless streak?
2. Will the Mexico City race be a success, and if so where does NASCAR go next internationally?
3. Will Kyle Larson actually complete the double this year?
Logano could finally break the curse on odd years 😂😂😂😂😂
My biggest question when it comes to the broadcasting side of things is how good are the TNT & Prime broadcasts going to be, especially TNT's. If TNT's coverage is as good for NASCAR as it is for MotoGP then I will be happy. Then when it comes to the playoff changes, they need to be announced sooner rather than later. Outside of NASCAR, my biggest questions regarding racing heading into 2025 are: Will Fox's Indycar coverage be bad?, How will Lewis Hamilton do in a Ferrari?, Will Kyle Larson win the double?, How will Prema do in Indycar? & Will Alex Palou jump over to F1 (especially given the fact that Cadillac is entering F1 in 2026), especially if he wins another Indycar title?
Prime and TNT both have the exact same announcers with AA, Dale Jr, and Steve Letarte. Expect them so be similar to some NBC broadcasts c. 2018 except with a much better lead announcer. I'm worried AA might be stretched thin with doing all the xfinity races and all of the cup practice/qualifying sessions apart from the clash, daytona 500, and all star race.
As for Fox's indycar coverage, all the right pieces are there, but we'll see
@@jovazquez6102Xfinity isn't on FOX. Trucks are
@@AnarRamazanov-po5le Adam Alexander is the CW announcer
@jovazquez6102 wasn't Rick Allen supposed to be the lead announcer?
My big question is if the third time will finally be the charm for William Byron this year.
A lot of people do not have prime
My grandparents have good cable
I still use rabbit ears & a radio
It's standard television not a streaming service
A question I have is (More of a 2026 Season) what’s going to happen to Kyle Busch? He doesn’t have a contract after this season.
He will win Daytona 500 then sign with hendrick in place of Alex Bowman
@ I really hope so!! That would be a great way to retire. Either rent the #18 from JGR for the last few years he races or go to the #84. Or borrow the #5.
Not worried about flipping, drivers arnt either.
I’ve seen a car flip going 30mph.
Your not going to stop it.
Biggest issue I had with NASCAR games is pit stops and yellow flags of a yellow is dropped the game either slams u in the wall or other cars and with pit road the stops are slow and the opponent cars just sit there no pit crews or anything also no damage fix animation or if so really bad ones
2025 Surprise: Carson Hocevar wins a race and makes it to the Round of 12
the true surprise is gonna be the 38(or 39) car pileup on the final lap of the 2025 daytona 500
NASCAR should do the smart thing and come to terms with FR and 2311. Stupid no too. No matter what, it makes the whole sport look bad. Also, new teams and new investment are critical to not just growing NASCAR, but for it to even continue. NASCAR would probably be in real trouble without those two teams, had they not started up. They joined when no one else even wanted to.
Regarding the broadcast, with Amazon and TNT (RIP Bill Weber), how much of will they take from Fox and nbc. Even though it was just a few weeks, the cw copied nbcs graphics and threw their logo on so I wonder how all the new networks will display the race
Will NWP be on Wednesday night's when the season returns?
What will the CW, Prime, and TNT broadcasts be like? I hope they are good
I've got a bad feeling about this...
I have the feeling we'll see the roughly same season in 2025...
I think it'll be worse.
@@PaperBanjo64 How do you think it will be worse?
The main thing at the moment that separates this year from last year is the amount of different drivers that are now on different teams.
@@bighand1530 more controversy, no improvement in the short tracks and road courses or superspeedways.
@@PaperBanjo64 At least all the different drivers being on different teams make this year automatically different from last year.
My biggest question that’s been haunting me is will Fox Sports have pre race and post race coverage now that Race Hub has shut down
I know there was none for the truck series but I’m hoping they can put some care in the cup series
Ugh, NASCAR has already said enough I don't care about this NASCAR season... The 24 Hours of Daytona, however, was amazing! Can't wait for Sebring. I do want to see how the lawsuit plays out, but don't care. NASCAR doesn't care what fans want, they tell you what they want.
Yeah basically, NASCAR would rather go out of business than do anything that the majority of fans would like...I'm only watching NASCAR till IndyCar and F1 starts.
RIP Bill Weber
He will be missed.
Oh boy the whistle on the S throughout this video... youre kill me, Ice
*you kill me, Isssssssssss
Will the Prime exclusive races see the same fate as INDYCAR on Peacock exclusive??? Essentially becoming afterthoughts
Will we see any potential walkouts?
Thankfully no
I hope so just to let the Frances and the Steves know the competitors are sick of their tyranny.
Will there by less Controversies?
3:10 : noting is gonna happen, nothing is going to change. It’s been 10 years of this , nothing is gonna change…. NASCAR dosent care.
And neither do the fans , 1 week after phoniex , they were all positing “man I miss nascar”. No one cares enough:
Here’s my biggest question: will NASCAR leadership ever get its head out of the sand and get rid of the playoff format?
They ain’t getting rid of it. They could heavily tweak it for 26 tho
@@JackLikesTrackhouse there not gonna change anything, the fact that people think there gonna change anything is insane to me. When has nascar changed something over the last 20 years that was good ? Double file restarts ? Getting rid of the DVP? Minimill changes that mean nothing when compared to everything else
Here's MY biggest question: When will the fanbase finally shut up, grit their teeth, and begrudgingly accept that the playoffs AREN'T going anywhere?
@@crystaljonNEVER!!! We'll just quit or watch much less!
Head out of their ass'
When will NASCAR Outgrow their stubbornness regarding The Playoffs?
I THOUGHT THE NASCAR WEEKLY PODCAST ON WEDNESDAYS
I’m curious about how Briscoe and the other former SHR drivers will do in 2025, Will they have career seasons or will they suck hard?
If you want the cars to stay on the ground, slow them down to 15 mph.
I mean, they only weigh 3,500 lbs and are going faster than a fully loaded 747 at take off.
I think I'm in the minority of people who actually support the playoffs and stage racing system. The only change I think needs to be made is instead of the finals being one race, make it just like the other stages of the playoffs, a three race shootout, short track, speedway and super speedway/intermediate and the most points at the end of it out of the 4 final drivers wins the championship. Maybe a tweaking to the value of winning and points
Will nascar and it’s fans realize what a let down bowman gray is after the Rolex 24?
Will Kyle Busch be relevant again?
Will Jaret have a new hairdo?
How will Prime, TNT, and CW (NASCAR Productions) cover races? I'm sure they'll do better than FOX. Very intrigued to see what Prime does.
Fox is the pinnacle of coverage
@@g_men2121 *NBC
Will the Larson double happen? How well will that go if it does?
Will the 'champion' be deserving?
When will nascar leaders will learn that the playoff format sucks and stage racing is really idiot 😂
Never it seems, sadly.
@@PaperBanjo64 well looks like nascar is dead i think
@danendraabyantara2931 yeah I've been saying it's a zombie for months, especially if FOX gets their IndyCar broadcasts right and IndyCar actually starts growing
@@PaperBanjo64 i think the moment when edwards leave this sport, he knew that nascar is going too woke and political with this playoff formats, everybody knew that 2011 season was the last great season for carl edwards
@danendraabyantara2931 yeah he left BEFORE stages, he probably heard rumblings about changes for the worse coming
336 days left till 2026.
My only question for this season is, will we have this year a deserving champion?
Austin cindric has the same amount of wins as Alex Bowman since 2022 btw. You never laugh at him severely underperforming though, in fact you praise him for sucking.
NASCAR won't solve the Gen 7 flippings. The rear diffuser (underwing) acts like a airplane and creates so much lift. The independent suspensions they run are so rigid that they bounce so much more then the Gen 6 car.
its not even about the diffuser, but obviously helps a lot, the biggest problem is the undercover of the car being completely plain, i dont know whose idea it was, just put the car just a bit sideways and with the right banking or a hit from another car, and your car becomes a plane. They wont do anything until a drivers gets badly hurt...
What are you going to do with all that free weekend time.
I have some thoughts regarding the future of this sport. In 2026, the NASCAR scoring system will award points based on stage and race finishes, with multipliers applied based on track type: 1x for short tracks and concrete tracks; 1.5x or 2x for cookie-cutter and oval tracks; and 2x or 2.5x for road courses and superspeedways, with Pocono races receiving a 2.5x multiplier. Leading the most laps in a race awards 25 points, with an additional 3 points awarded per lap led. Stage points are also awarded. During the regular season, points are awarded for laps led and stage points. In the postseason, points for laps led and stage points are halved. No points are awarded for crashes or mechanical failures. Drivers are penalized 50 points per lap down.
Stage Points: 1st (20), 2nd (30), 3rd (40).
NASCAR died when Earnhardt died and JJ racked up 7 chips, the true fans left, and th ones that stuck around left after the stage races were created, that’s when I left also!!!!
Will Joey Logano end his odd year curse? and is Team Penske going to get more wins and lead more laps?
When will we get new leaders in the sport to replace the 3 stooges we have now?
When will NASCAR start listening to the fans?
@@mister_aidan09 No. anyone who thinks that is genuinely stupid.

Yep I just have no hope that the broadcasts will be any better than Fox too. Prime and TNT just see NASCAR as more sports content for there streaming service Max and Prime videos streaming service.
I hope you are wrong and it is an absolute hit.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld
