Cracked me up when Ali asked Buddy where he saw similarities between Napier compared to Spurrier and Urban. And it took him a Long Time to think of anything to say.

I have not seen Billy be a good " game day" coach. Right now I'm a non- believer.

@@Freshy_Jones 3-6, then 5-7, then 10-3. BN will get nowhere near 10-3 this year even in our wildest dreams. Problem is his game day decisions are suspect. His clock management is amongst the worst. His choice in coaches has been BAD, especially at D with Hop Along Armstrong. He abused Richardson's talent in year 1 and made him look absolutely lost. I'm hoping otherwise, but the writing is on the wall and only he can change it.

Quit making such a big deal about the schedule. If this was the hbc those same teams would have been saying what we have to play UF. Go play and win. That's how we roll.

need to win at least 8 games period. That shows true progress and promise moving forward no matter the schedule.need to show it on the field. The field shows everything that been done good or bad. It shows everything from A to Z. I know it talking season, but when the whistle blows vs the Canes it better be let’s get it done season.
Go Gators. Wax Miami. Rinse and repeat.
I see 2 teams on our schedule that have better personnel than us the rest of the games we should have a chance to win ...one thing in our favor is they play hard for Billy and are netter coached this year.
Georgia, and who’s the other?
Miami, Georgia, Texas, Volunteers, Ole Miss and LSU have higher rated over all talent than UF
I hope the D shows up and the O line can Gel, Go Gators, then we will make it to a bowl. A bowl is important because they are allowed to practice until the bowl.

It’s all about what happens when he has Lagway as QB1 and a more developed roster he brought in to run his scheme. If he doesn’t get 2025 there’s no point.
I think we have a ceiling of 8-4 and unless we go 3-9 like Buddy said Napier will coach Lagway as the starter in 2025.
I feel Billy Napier isn’t getting really treated fair bc of how TOUGH the schedule is. Look at the NON CONFERENCE schedule. It’s not just the conference schedule, yes life in the SEC is TOUGH, but the Gators play THREE schools in the same state. Miami, UCF, and of course, Florida State. 2 of those are at home, so we’ll see if he can take advantage of the home crowd helping Florida winning some of these non conference

Quit making excuses. No other coach in America gets as many bullshit excuses for a piss poor game day product. Billy makes millions to win football games and he isn’t getting his job done.
billy needs more upset wins than upset losses. both years had 1 upset win and 1 upset loss. plenty opportunities to do it this year.
Needs a solid 4 years to clean up the dumpster fire he was left with. Just be patient, it always pays off

Why are Gator talking heads and pundits acting like Stricklin and Napier haven’t been given a chance? Can we at least be honest? It’s about winning.
UF football USED to be about winning but those days are long gone! Strickland is a “facility” AD and lacks big time when it comes to hiring the right coaches. Napier has been over his head since day 1 and was never the right guy for the job! Napier is a good guy but that doesn’t win you football games! Btw, Napier could be given several more years and WiLL NEVER have a winning season at UF!

Spend Billy's 20 million + exit fee on top players to surround Lagway. We have the key piece which is the top QB.
How we lost was more important than the score. We should have beaten UTAH, Arkansas, Missouri, and FSU. That is four additional wins and a winning season. We were our own worst enemies. Correct our miscues and we will be fine.

Stricklin is hitched to Napier and I don't see him pulling the plug unless there is gross negligence in program stewardship, aka Mullen type of behavior.
Why do some assume that if we fire Napier, we automatically lose Lagway??? DJ's m.o. in high school was building the program. I'm confident he'd wait to see the next hire first before making a decision!!!
Well, odds are the choice of replacements would be made before the termination notice is made public, so it’s likely Lagway wouldn’t be around long….

Personally I say this because of conversations I have had with him and his HS coaches.
When fire a coach the whole team is up for grabs. Lagway would be left with less talent. If he has to learn a new system go where he has better talent and more $$$.
@@DaVinci3333 If Napier gets fired, it's unlikely the AD wouldn't have already vetted (and pretty much chosen) a candidate before the firing announcement is made. It's the way the process works.
He's had enough time win or make a change
Perhaps Coach Napier has done good that Graham Mertz has returned for another year and that the offseason transfers coming in seem ok? but does this remotely make up for losing senior defensive end Princely Umanmielen going to Ole Miss as well as Trevor Etienne leaving for Georgia as well?… If the football program atmosphere was so great with all the Napier coaching staff army along with the new state of the art facilities that everyone was drinking the Koolade then those two wouldn’t have bolted to key opponents in the SEC… As well, how come in 3 years of Coach Napier recruitment and Coaching development efforts we only seem to have only one viable Wide Receiver in Tre Wilson to speak off? in a football talent rich State like Florida?… Lastly Bud Martin struggled to find any positive comparisons of Coach Napier going in to his 3rd season to previous successful Gator Coaches that actually have to do with winning games. The Strength & Conditioning program for the past two seasons has been a bust when it comes to SEC caliber play along with the Special Teams miscues costing games was inexcusable. Meanwhile, we will root for our Gators in 2024 starting with beating Miami despite being pegged the underdogs in the Swamp.
Charlotte/Kentucky and Arkansas games last year were really bad. Napier is a really bad clock manager, plays scared in close games and his special teams are anything but special. Time will tell but not looking good with Napier for the long haul.
Not only that but, it was a damn miracle this was a 4 win team because we beat S Carolina by sheer luck

Billy lost to vandy and all of our rivals regardless to what yall want to say that's not good at all at least dan mullen beat our rivals and vandy no one talks about the recruiting violation clause dan mullen was under because of an assistant coach who he fired after the incident dan had a better strength coach then billy that boy came in with his coaches staff damn near all of them are gone
Honestly. I think 8-4 he will be fine. 7-5 with close loses he might be ok. Anything less, I think he's done.
He ain’t going nowhere clowney, we would lose Lagway if he did. They make a bowl and then take off to sec title next season.
