I like that Jericho didn't break his submission hold when the referee was distracted. It always bothered me that EVERY SINGLE TIME a ref gets distracted during a submission, the wrestler gives it up to try and get the ref's attention back, giving their opponent time to recover and cheap shot them. It makes no logical sense. Yeah, the ref isn't seeing the tapping... but why not just keep it locked in and continue to hurt them? Maybe they'll pass out by the time the ref is back and you'll win that way. Dropping the hold was always dumb but they found a way to make him not do that and it was such a better way to orchestrate this.
