- The Russian forces who have reportedly entered the Ukrainian capital are seemingly centred around the northern district of Obolon.
The heavily residential area is just 9km north of Kyiv’s parliament and the city centre.
Just before 10am local time, Ukraine’s Defence Ministry tweeted that enemy Russian operatives were in the area.

This war is a disaster for everyone and a complete waste of time. It's costing Russia a fortune and how many Russian soldiers have been on the frontline for over two years now, away from their families? How many have been killed? The same goes for Ukrainians.
How much money has Russia pumped into this mess? And how much has the West spent on it too? It's a complete waste of time when all countries involved could be focusing on trade, making money and building.
Russia thought they'd roll in their tanks and take the whole country in a few days, but instead, they're bogged down in this mess with no end in sight and they've lost so many tanks, trucks, ships, and soldiers. Even if they manage to take some of Eastern Ukraine, how many tens of billions will they need to spend before any of it looks like a functioning society again?

Edit: By the way - the story about the garrison of Zmeiniy Island is actively promoted in Media, how they heroically defended the island to the last man. President Zelensky even awarded them posthumously - but the funny thing is that the entire garrison of 82 people is alive and surrendered.

Russian tanks have a white "Z" painted all over them. Stands for "operation Z" Russian troops wear white arm bands as well.
Those are Ukrainian tanks most likely setting up for the invasion, because they have no markers that would indicate them being Russian. Russian tanks and infantry have these markers in order to distinguish themselves.
Ukranian armed civilians have killed Russia troops wearing Ukrainian uniforms and driving Ukrainian wehicles.
