This scene was so painful, I felt so bad for everyone involved. Poor Nunnally learning her brother was Zero this whole time, that he and your other childhood friend have been lying and keeping secrets from you all along, and then to hear such a scathing remark from the same big brother you adored about how you represent the aristocracy that he so despises? Seriously, I give major props to Nunnally for being able to do all this. She is so incredibly strong, the way she takes charge and is willing to fight her own brother for what she believes is right. Poor Lelouch and Suzaku too though, especially Lelouch. I can't even imagine the whiplash of joy and relief, at knowing your little sister whom you thought was dead is alive, and the crushing pain and despair of having her learn the deep dark secret you'd been trying so desperately to keep from her, and then having to pretend to not care and say such hurtful things in order to keep up the act. Plus the realization that now Nunnally is alive if Lelouch dies they will be apart again, but he can't stop his Zero Requiem plan just for her, it's too late to turn back. The way Lelouch laughs sort of hysterically (seriously Johnny Young Bosch is such an amazing VA) and his hands shook as he forced himself to play the role of the demon emperor in front of his sister hurt me so badly. 😭He did it for her, to spare her the pain (and potential blame if others knew) of knowing the truth that he DID do all this for her, or at least like 90% of it. He didn't want her to feel guilty though or blame herself, or for others to blame her for being the reason Lelouch did all this, so he lied and pretended it was all for him even though it was clearly killing him inside to do so.
