    Nice video. You can take rods out and put magnets over the holes and foil bottom vent to save charcoal for next cook. Nice job on ribs. Keep up the great work!

    Nice video. Ribs look nice. What you can also do is remove the rods and grate. Then with a hook remove the fire basket, place it on the grill of that red contraption in your video lower the lid and close all the vents. That should snuff it out. It’s what I use my Weber for these days

    Looks so good I just got myself a new pbx pit barrel I am doing my first cook today I’m doing ribs and chicken I hope mine turns out as well as yours did

    I hate to burst your bubble, but it doesn’t look like you preseasoned your pit barrel. Looks like you’re cooking for the first time and right out of the box.???

      It's all good. Yes it's the first cook and did a burn in for 30 minutes before adding the food to the grill.

      instructions say burn in not necessary..ready to cook right out of box..

    Yes you can shut it totally down by closing the vents and pull the rebate and put aluminum foil in the holes and it will shut it down so you can save your charcoal.
