Imagine you're a researcher about to embark on a great journey to the ocean floor. You're so excited about all the cool marine life you might see. However when you get to the bottom there is only 1 thing: fridge.
I was thinking the same thing! I was like, "I bet the mafia dumped these off a cargo ship or something!" As morbid as that is already, on another note I don't think they'd find anything now: they've probably been eaten, dissolved due to the depth and salinity of the ocean water, or both.
I agree that the writing is good, but seeing "mellennia" at 7:08 left me feeling like I'll be wincing for a few millennia. ;) Very good compilation, other than that one error.

Ive always had this fantasy that I could see and breathe underwater. just laying in fields of seaweed or on soft sand under coral reefs, all the creatures of the sea leaving me alone to my thoughts. I wouldn't feel an ounce of anxiety or agoraphobia, and would be free to wander the open ocean as I wished
@@BigBrotherMars As a kid I always had a reoccuring dream of a place deep, deep in the sea, even below the sea ground, where life and colours were flourishing and you felt like you were on a diffrent planet. Even though the deep sea as we know it is full of life already, I never got off the thought, that there is a deep-deep sea, which we haven't discovered yet and is even fuller of life with much more exotic beings.
How oddly comforting that those refrigerators are being repurposed as habitats instead of just sitting in a landfill. Ironic given they were probably illegally dumped from a boat...
Sine Nomine - I bet those discards become a thriving miniature eco-system all of their own. Nature is much more resilient than you give her credit for.

Seeing these things makes me want to see even more. I live in Texas, so I have been down to Galveston, South Padre Island and other parts of the coast. While I enjoyed swimming in the Gulf of Mexico, I had no idea about some of the creatures and other things that were there, even if I had known I would not have been scared, instead I would have wanted to see more. WOW!!!
It’s absolutely amazing to me that we human beings have created deepsea exploration gear that can handle the severe temprature and pressure changes while also capturing such amazing footage of what species live in such depths... And, also, how some of us human beings can’t dispose of fridges correctly...
I must say, the ocean is such an strange, peaceful but a rough place too. Hunderts of hunderts meters deep you are surrounded by everything and nothing... an horror movie down there would be a mindbreaking thing..

I admit, I got anxiety thinking of that Sperm Whale way down there encountering the ROV... Just to routinely dive into the unknown, so far from the air you depend on for the food you depend on, in the dark, with who knows what danger lurking down there... in IT'S home.
Man, this was radical. It's so amazing, just knowing how deep the oceans are, and how most of the oceans haven't even been fully explored as of yet. Just wait until a few decades later, when we really have the technology to go further into the depths than we've ever been...

Very rare species of major appliance, the avocado green variety is one of the seldom seen, due to overloading and lack of maintenance, once common in the 1960s through the 1970s. Washing machine is the common collective name under;Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore.😜
Can I make a suggestion? Maybe add more facts during the footage? Excellent music selection. Also, never switch to narration. Narration ruined Dark5's content for me.
Maybe I didn't look in the right place, but the only info I could find on the record 1500lb Tuna was its weight, nothing about the length. In any case, judging from the man's height compared to that of his catch, that's got to be at least a 14ft fish.
