Well...I just gotta add....she was a "consummate performer"...sought the best in the songs...and the people who worked with her, and "she did not suffer fools gladly". A late friend of mine, Lester Murray. of Harlem, was @2 hours late meeting her for a fitting of several gowns....heavily beaded ones, that he had worked on for months, on consignment....per Lester, one dress out of 5 wasn't finished. Nancy "beat" him with those dresses...left WHIP MARKS. lmao
