In the US, coconuts are frequently sold in a dark brown hue, characterized by three distinct black spots.
Yet, during my visit to Thailand, I discovered that only green coconuts, typically larger than their brown counterparts, were available for purchase.
What sets these two coconuts apart?
Here's another intriguing fact:
You can't see any seeds inside the coconut.
Does the coconut fruit truly lack seeds?
To uncover the secrets of the coconut that many remain unaware of, watch the video!

if you are interested in delving further into science,
I'd like to recommend an intriguing science channel to you.
I highly recommend checking out this channel.
I often see complaints about the pronunciation of words on this channel but honestly that's come to be one of my favourite parts of the videos. It adds character to them and in the end, that's not the focus of this channel. Mispronounced words aside, the videos themselves are actually quite informative and enjoyable.
Plus, who doesn't like seeing a cat in almost every one of them 😂
The coconut tree is one of the very rare plant where every single parts of it (the roots, trunk, leaves, branches, the shells etc. ) can be made into something else that can be used by humans, mostly as food, food ingredients or non-edible items used for preparing food, among other things.
More like a plant that human have found ways to exploit every single part of it. Well, not as much as banana, human have found way to eat every single part but leaves of the banana plant.
Edit: Banana plant
The best part about a coconut is that it is not a nut

People will ask for the AI voice again.

Here in India, we drink green coconut water a lot 🥥💚
Just like anywhere else. But there's special drink in India, the beef steak dung drink right?
Endosperm. The “Meat” contains the “seed”. Milky white liquid inside the “nut”. Big brown “nuts”. No wonder I feel a lil gay when I eat it.
Gawdammit, A guy can't enjoy no damn coconut juice when he starts calling them "endosperm."
I've legit eaten goat testicles before. It's really not that bad. Like a fleshy dumpling. Flesh is flesh. If it tastes good and doesn't make you sick, who cares what it is? =D
There’s a reason why they call it the coco n u t
these fishes are getting weirder every video
Oh it has seeds all right...the one you're drinking 💀💀💀
if i forget what a coconut was and closed my eyes i could still imagine him talking about a fish
Coconut itself is the seed lmao
So Ur saying we are eating seeds and drinking the nutrience as the nutrience is coconut juice and the whole thing is a seed?
Coco-NUT.
There is this guy that keeps appearing in my youtube shorts named "Fitshortie" which films himself eating a variety of exotic fruits from South-East Asia I didn't even know existed. Also , this guy cracks open a lot of coconut sprouts with a machete and he enjoys eating "coconut bread" , which is basically a ball of white crunchy sponge appearing when the coconut plant emerges from the seed . It has a salty taste , and when it's eaten in combination with the fatty "coconut butter" it tastes just like bread and butter.
I tried it doesnt taste salty
Si ce pula mea vrei sa facem noi cu informatia asta?
That’s one of the most unusual fish.
LOL
This is one of the coolest channels. A couple years and you'll be huge. You are gonna teach so many people
Your channel deserves more attention, these videos are delightful and educational ! 🥥
I live in Florida where coconut palms are everywhere on beaches. It sounds cool to have unlimited free coconuts but they are a real pain to break open, spill all the “juice” everywhere, and end up being really bitter if they aren’t ripe enough. Its kinda one of the things that’s “technically” edible, like acorns. I still love it tho. It’s honestly amazing how many things have coconut in them.
I had no idea that there was so much to learn about coconuts- That was a really interesting video!
it's not dissection it's opening
as a thai citizen, i hope you had a memorable stay in my country hahah
also, this is a very informative video. it solve my curious with coconut lol
Thank you Fishy Science for educating me on coconuts I am glad I learnt these facts.🥥👍
The word endosperm sounds absolutely disgusting. However the word sperm means 'seed' in ancient Greek, which actually makes sense, since the endosperm is the enormous internal seed of a coconut.
Problem with “sperm”? lol. It’s not disgusting. Half of the mature human population produces it every second of their life.
At one point he literally says "Cocka-Nit"
I love the Green coconut
My country loves those green coconut
The water in the Green cocnut is very delicious
Add some ice and meat of the coconu,
Yum.
I love cocanits
I don't want to believe that there are Americans who think that coconut nut is the fruit and not the seed, I reject that
Seriously, people from the USA don't know such basics?
Who and where would we learn it from? We don't have open access to farms to learn about or food, plant or animal. And our schools suck. Also, coconuts don't grow in most of the USA, so we never even get to see them. I've never even had a fresh one, or the pre-husked ones.
It's also massive, and has so many different environments, snowy, deserts, forest, plains, beaches, landlocked, seashore. Many foods can't even servive where I live in my land locked state, covered in snow a good portion of the year. I got corn, sunflowers, pumpkins and wheat. But I don't work on a farm, so never had the chance to pick them or see them up close.
It's why we love YT. We can actually see the world and learn here, unlike our schools.
Turns out I knew nothing about the coconut; great, comprehensive video!
i like coconut water from the older one, its like sparkling water with a hint sweetness
"Elderly gentleman". You really did him dirty.
Don't drink too much coconut water, it has a lot of salt and will kill you, but while only some, like 5 in one day it's gonna be really good for you and can replace energy drinks entirely
Doesn’t this apply only for brown coconuts while the green coconuts are good for hydration?
@@not_hAck3r it's the same exact coconut bruh
Since you are talking about coconut

Cold Fact:
Coconuts are indeed bad for people having cardiovascular disease.
Prolonged consuming would cause either heart disease/stoke.
Just came back from the coconut farm and factory...
The coconut is basically similar to an egg. A plant egg. Not like an eggplant.
can u make an video about the coconut cra or how it names in english i translate it from german direct to english because those a very interresting animals and dangerous ones
