    In the US, coconuts are frequently sold in a dark brown hue, characterized by three distinct black spots.
    Yet, during my visit to Thailand, I discovered that only green coconuts, typically larger than their brown counterparts, were available for purchase.
    What sets these two coconuts apart?
    Here's another intriguing fact:
    You can't see any seeds inside the coconut.
    Does the coconut fruit truly lack seeds?
    To uncover the secrets of the coconut that many remain unaware of, watch the video!

    I often see complaints about the pronunciation of words on this channel but honestly that's come to be one of my favourite parts of the videos. It adds character to them and in the end, that's not the focus of this channel. Mispronounced words aside, the videos themselves are actually quite informative and enjoyable.
    Plus, who doesn't like seeing a cat in almost every one of them 😂

    The coconut tree is one of the very rare plant where every single parts of it (the roots, trunk, leaves, branches, the shells etc. ) can be made into something else that can be used by humans, mostly as food, food ingredients or non-edible items used for preparing food, among other things.

    • @dangductran2926
      @dangductran2926 10 місяців тому +3

      More like a plant that human have found ways to exploit every single part of it. Well, not as much as banana, human have found way to eat every single part but leaves of the banana plant.
      Edit: Banana plant

    There is this guy that keeps appearing in my youtube shorts named "Fitshortie" which films himself eating a variety of exotic fruits from South-East Asia I didn't even know existed. Also , this guy cracks open a lot of coconut sprouts with a machete and he enjoys eating "coconut bread" , which is basically a ball of white crunchy sponge appearing when the coconut plant emerges from the seed . It has a salty taste , and when it's eaten in combination with the fatty "coconut butter" it tastes just like bread and butter.

    I live in Florida where coconut palms are everywhere on beaches. It sounds cool to have unlimited free coconuts but they are a real pain to break open, spill all the “juice” everywhere, and end up being really bitter if they aren’t ripe enough. Its kinda one of the things that’s “technically” edible, like acorns. I still love it tho. It’s honestly amazing how many things have coconut in them.

    The word endosperm sounds absolutely disgusting. However the word sperm means 'seed' in ancient Greek, which actually makes sense, since the endosperm is the enormous internal seed of a coconut.

      Who and where would we learn it from? We don't have open access to farms to learn about or food, plant or animal. And our schools suck. Also, coconuts don't grow in most of the USA, so we never even get to see them. I've never even had a fresh one, or the pre-husked ones.
      It's also massive, and has so many different environments, snowy, deserts, forest, plains, beaches, landlocked, seashore. Many foods can't even servive where I live in my land locked state, covered in snow a good portion of the year. I got corn, sunflowers, pumpkins and wheat. But I don't work on a farm, so never had the chance to pick them or see them up close.
      It's why we love YT. We can actually see the world and learn here, unlike our schools.
