We're in a heat wave and my sister just bought a couple of these on Amazon Prime and, of course, they don't work as she expected and I told her to just return them. And, for those who say they are great as personal coolers I would suggest that they can get a small fan at a thrift store for $5.00, set a large bowl of ice in front of it, and get the same effect - probably better because the thrift store fan would likely be more powerful and not have to be so close to you to still make you feel cool. People should be aware that if a purported room cooler doesn't have a compressor then it's not an "air conditioner". It's just another version of a fan but at an inflated price.
You gave it your best shot with an honest review my friend. We could see how you were struggling a bit with this flimsy gadget. I would like to thank you for your honest assessment, because now people can look at this video and make their own mind up, as to whether to spend their hard earned money on it. Do not get sucked into the adverts or hype of these products before doing some research.
When you turn the unit to white light mode it means fan only. You won't get the cooling effect from the reservoir, ice/water or no ice/water. Leave it on blue light mode for the duration of all your testing next time, otherwise it's no different than a desk fan... I run mine all the time at night because I get hot flashes through the nights. The nexfan is a lifesaver for me! Just in case people are wondering... This thing is not a room A/C , it is a personal space cooler.
I bought this. Mine is white got off Amazon for total of 10 bc it was a return that included shipping. It’s the BEST product I have ever bought!! I’m in Vegas & I LOVVVVVE Mine! I have it on a shelf next to my bed & my bed is up against the wall so the air is directly on me. These lil fans are definitely personal fans they do not cool off rooms but they DO KEEP U COOL & I swear I cannot live without mine now that I have it! It’s the BOMB!! ❤️❤️❤️--Its been 117 here & without mine I would be even MORE MISERABLE!
I got mine a few days ago and pretty happy with it. In many reviews people tend to review the item based on temperatures, this is not what it's for. As far as I know it's a personal air cooler, so it won't cool down a whole room. Placing it next to me (pointing towards me) it really does the trick (blowing cold air, thus cooling me down). Hope this makes it clearer for people
Whoops, just saw half of my comment is gone. Just wanted to make sure people don't expect it to be an air conditioner. As mentioned above it still works great here at a humidity of 70% and 32 degrees celcius temperature, just see it more as a cooling fan. Thanks for the review, good job Jeff!
According to the information in their site, it says "Cool down any room in less than 5 minutes". So...they don't say that it is a personal air cooler. This product is a scam! And this review only proved that.
That’s not how it’s being sold though meant to cool an average room by I can’t remember by how much but allot and said t will keep the room cool for at least 10 hours wish I haven’t bought it and not even here yet
I actually had the $150 full size room cool/swamp cooler from homedepot for a while and know they don't work that good so I can tell this small thing is a failure. They look and work the same just bigger size. I don't really know how all of these mini coolers get 4-5 stars on Amazon. My advice is to save that money for the AC bill or just buy a good big fan.
Thank you for trying to review the UV light part of this unit. I just received mines and am testing it right now. So far it's cooling my little area in my office but I am hoping that it's filtering out bacteria as advertised. The manual says "To protect your eyes from UV-C light, opening the tank cover in use will automatically cut off the power;" . I've opened the cover in different settings and it hasn't powered off. This makes me question if the UV feature even exists as I can't seem to find any info on that feature.
I really looked for the UV light...I think I ended up finding it...but not really sure. I tend to be on the skeptical side of something that I can not test. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

The infomercial is very misleading. that being said it may work better in an arid environment. It is pretty humid where I live. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
It appears you had the humidification turned off. The humidification IS the cooling. If it's turned off, the water won't circulate and the mister won't work. There was very temporary cooling with the frozen filter, but as soon as that warmed up to room temp, there was no additional cooling. It only cools when the humidification is on. That's why the water level didn't go down--it should use all the water in the reservoir in a few hours -- 4 to 6 at most.
I got mine from Amazon within week 1/2 or so. Again it’s for personal use! Idk how they can continue to advertise these fans cool off rooms. Not happening!

The water tank has a circular hole / space in the middle with a metal piece that holds electrical wires together. Is it safe to put water in the tank in spite of the circular metal piece?

I hope that anyone who ordered this & backed the company.... can somehow return it for refund. Feels like they pulled one over, so to speak. I have a bigger one than that (different brand) and I even add 2 kg of ice in the box and it only lasts 1 hour..... how much more when the nex-aircooler is very small. I think it's just a waste of money.

this was one of the worst product ever on indiegogo... it is basically only a fan, the 'water cooling' isn't doing a lot and it makes a lot of noise... i think you are better of with a normal fan, less noise. if only i could have seen this review before i bought it...

Nothing but a small personal fan, (if you're close). My a/c quit last week and I stupidly believed this would work. It's like a sauna in here unless I'm in 2 feet in front of it. Sucks! My pets are suffering in the 85+ temperature in here! Need to alert the public of this fraud! I live on food stamps and charity and can't afford stupid crap like this!!!

Also humidity makes a difference. High humid areas these are just fans. Low humidity areas may be better. Thanks for sharing your experience.

West Texas can be dry as dust or humid. At least its not in the 100s as it was for a few weeks. Whew!

At 4:50 he outright turned the mist off, it was the one constantly providing water to the pads.
Using the ice from the freezer and cooled water from the fridge, you may as well just stand in front of an open freezer door.

Mate to test the fan you can't put the thermometer Infront of the fan it should be put somewhere in the room .

To get any cooler air you have to have about 20% or less humidity are they just won't work.
