Yeah it's likely a much much later recording. The sound sounds like it's using modern mic and storage device. I sample music from the 1920's and those recordings sound obviously physically degraded, while this audio isn't. You can hear/feel how much bass there is. I'm pretty sure we couldn't record bass like that until much later.

Black and white gives different tones depending on the original colour. Red is darker then yellow, for instance. You can thus reverse engineer the original colours more or less
