@@drackgoon1375 is it a "shared sorrow is half a sorrow" kind of thing though?

I remember the vast collection of video games my uncle owned, so many NES and SNES titles!! I'd love the opportunity to have such a thing myself, but its not so likely as time goes by.
Also one of the BEST things about getting a new game was taking the booklet with you to school to read over it until you finally get to actually play it at home and I'm disappointed that my kids won't be able to do that.
I'm not sure what my first game really was, but we played a lot of Donkey Kong Country and Darius Twin when I was little!

I think the first game I ever played was Super Mario Land 2, but I was young enough that I didn't understand it. I think the first game I played that I LOVED was Super Mario 64. It was like a playground to explore where you had superpowers!

@@lightningninja6905 yaa. bullying was brutal back in the 90s.
anyways eco quest was definitely worth getting if ya wanna dive into early point and click adventure games. it's an environmentalism themed game for children though so it might be too easy for any adults looking for a challenge

Are humans not herd animals? They're always doing stuff together.

My first game was either Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection or something on emulators that I can't remember.

My first video game was webkinz on my dad’s work PC. It was my first experience with the internet and it blew my little mind. My first handheld was the dsi and I remember that I got it for Christmas, but I opened one of the games first (I can’t remember which one) it was a game I had been begging for for our Wii and I was excited at first, then sad when I saw that they got “the wrong version” I let them know that this was the dsi version, then they handed me my next present I opened it and it was a pink (my favorite color at the time) dsi. I was so excited that I wouldn’t have to take turns playing the game with my younger sister lol

My little sister ended up getting her own blue dsi at a later date

My first video game was Top Gear, because my parents thought single games caused fights and expensive gifts like these were for me and my sister, but one that made me quite happy was when I found Super Mario Kart in a garage sale and got it as a birthday present for my sister.
For obvious reasons we didn't had a gameboy, but when we were getting some pokemon cards from a newsstand they were selling Pokemon Blue in a diskette for super cheap, and after booting it grandparents PC it was the real game and not a bootleg and we got quite surprised, in the diskette also had a doc that taught how to download more games, and the emulator that came with NO$GMB let you play simultaneous with 6 or 8 people, don't remember anymore, so me, my sister and cousins used to make pokemon runs.
And I still wonder how we made the emulator work because first it was in English and we didn't know anything more than basic things and second if you look images of it is quite confusing lol

The only thing I disagree with on this video is you not liking Mario >:P
In all seriousness, even though we didn't have that much money growing up, our parents did manage to get us an NES when we were kids, and the feeling of getting new cartridges every now and then was still an amazing feeling because we knew we would have something to entertain us for days, especially those 10 in 1 cartridges XD so I do understand the feeling. Knowing that many games nowadays are basically rentals, and many of them go out without even being finished feels so dystopian

Sometimes the filters will think you said something mean then hold it for review. It exist but others can see it until I approve it.

Hmm I don't remember my first game. The first game I remember having a big impact was Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 1. I loved the world, the colors, the music and most of all the gameplay. I think my fave level was the park one, that one felt huge when I first played it. Looking back its actually pretty small, but I still find it quite fun. I don't think I ever got far, but that was never the point. It was about having an absolute blast.
