I really like Misa's groove on this one. I thought she was going to get a solo for a second there. I appreciate bass players who push the boundaries, including utilizing instruments above and beyond the standard 4 string, single pickup. I bet she'd tear up a 12 string. 💛🤘🤙✌️
BAND-MAID’S production crew is top notch as well. We don’t give them near enough love. From music video concept to design to production to recording. There’s just no weakest link.
You will lose your mind with some of MISA and the Maid's live antics...and quality 💪❤🔥 I've gotta give a slap-down to a comment saying to "stop wasting your time" with the studio/MVs!!! You were clearly entertained here...such a great song arrangement. Their songs are gifts that keep giving; with studio, fun MVs (car surfing Maids for example), Live videos and stripped-back acoustic versions. It's all gold and insanely varied...enjoy the long ride down the pigeon hole. Po!! 🕊 👍😁🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate it a lot. I need to set the pace myself to get to know the Band-Maids and at the same time keep Maidacs entertained ;) I'm impatient my self and I can't wait to watch the documentIaries about the ladies. And I hope (know) you're right about Misas live performance🎸✨🫶🏻❤️
The top hat has the name- "Tiny Hat". First owned briefly by Misa (Bass) in 2013, until 2014 when she passed it on to her buddy Akane (Drums). She had it until the end of 2018. By the 2019 tour, which I saw, sadly it was gone. Akane said subsequently, that it always used to pull on her hair and became uncomfortable, as she shakes her head and hair a lot, when playing.
I love that a prop like Tiny-Hat has such an incredible arch! But the most important part of the story is- were is the tiny-hat now? In the tiny-hat graveyard or haning on a memorial wall? I want to know! 🕊️👑🫶🏻
@@RambergReacts I keep seeing comments of a resurrection. I think this is wishful fan thinking - though I can see Band Maid doing a surprise just 'cause... 😝
Misa's epithet is "The Barefoot Assassin" for two reasons. She always plays live shows with bare feet. And her costume is based on an 'Assassin Maid' outfit. Yes they did exist in feudal Japan.
Very nice reaction to Band-Maid's hard-hitting song "Dice"! Maidiacs refer to the drummer Akane Hirose's head covering as her "Tiny Hat" and although she stopped wearing it about six years ago, it is still missed by many. Miku Kobato had to help her put on the "Tiny Hat" before each performance, but the fasteners holding the hat in place were pretty uncomfortable so eventually she quit wearing it. Fun fact is that Misa was actually the first one to wear the "Tiny Hat" in a performance, but she quickly passed it on to Akane as it didn't look quite right on her. In the song "Dice". there is great symbolism in going from the self-imposed darkness of a stagnant complacently to moving on to accept the challenge to be truly oneself by taking the risk to finally take off one's blindfold and stepping out into the light of new possibilities with open eyes, come what may. Life is a gamble, and one must be willing to take risks in life while fully realizing that, either winning or losing, the choices must be up to you in the end. One can be as lifeless and blind as that doll or become fully alive by being willing to risk rolling the dice of endless possibilities in order to step into a brand-new world of existence. This theme appears frequently in Band-Maid's later songs and in a world where nothing can come easy, one must take responsibility for doing what is necessary to succeed in life. As you pointed out, Band-Maid are great role models on how hard work and persistence can lead to dreams becoming finally realized.
Du heter "Uffda"- er du norsk? :)) Thank you so much for this amazing comment and the insightful breakdown! 🙏 I had no idea Misa was the first to wear the "Tiny Hat"-what a fun piece of Band-Maid history! It’s fascinating how something as simple as a tiny hat has such a story behind it, from Misa passing it on to Akane to how it became such an iconic part of their early vibe. And the way you explained the themes in Dice really deepens my love for the song. That journey of moving out of darkness, embracing risks, and finding one’s true self-it’s such a powerful message (for us all), and Band-Maid embodies it perfectly. They're truly role models for hard work and authenticity- I love it! Also, I can’t help but wonder-what happened to the "Tiny Hat"? I’d love to know its final destiny! 🎩🎲✨ Thanks again for sharing this; it made me digg the band even more! 🕊️👑

What they're wearing and what they're playing is a good way to date what you're seeing. They're 11 years old now. They have a history. Akane's "Tiny Hat" disappeared somewhere between 2017/ 2018.

Nice reaction. Can I make one general comment? Band Maid is ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! better live. Every single song, without exception. If you like all of these official studio versions, you ain't seen nuttin yet. Stop wasting your time with the official studio cuts and go directly to the official LIVE cuts.
