I got some patch cables with my TMC2208 BTT 3.0, do I need to patch one of the pins on top of the TMC2208 to the SKR 2.0 motherboard, or will it communicate through UART on the board already?
Problem with leaving out details is the moment this happens a hundreds comments flow in asking about them. Also the tutorials would be literally 5 minutes. Without covering the information, I'll spend hours answering questions.
any chance you have those test rails on thingiverse? so we can test motor directions. great idea
Well that's one of two designs I'm not giving away. That sounds odd I know, but look up my printer design and date and you understand why.

SKR v2 has tracing in the motherboard. So jumper wires are not required.
Wish you did not have to dumb down every one of these awesome tutorials. Kind of tiresome wading through the obvious...;)
