That paper material seems really interesting. The light-weight aspect seems nice. I was not overly wowed with the sugar based paper. I find that “fountain-pen friendly” doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a pleasant experience. To me it wasn’t bad, but I didn’t love it. It was fun to try though… and the temptation was there to try to taste the paper. 😆 I do love my FC fountain pen though and they have so many beautiful models.
I need to try the FC paper with more pens and inks, however, it sounds like my initial impression is the same as yours. It hadn't occurred to me to taste it, but now I can't stop thinking about it. 😅 Franklin Christoph has so many models and materials that I get choice paralysis...same thing with Edison pens. 🤔 😀
I bought a 6-pen case in this stuff and then an A5 sketchbook cover. I prefer it because it is more sturdy, stiff, and protective than leather or canvas.
You're welcome! That's a good idea, but I'll go ahead and tell you... it's been going great. The size and shape of the 92 is perfect for my hand and Pilot fine nibs are my favorite. 😀

Thanks for reviewing this. I’ve been curious about these since I saw them on the site.
You're welcome, Fran! My main concern was the material, but I'm happy with it. I'd like to get one of the pen cases at some point. 😀
like the look of Colorverse dark energy but when you mentioned inks with good shading, Diamine ancient copper sprung to mind:)
I've never tried Ancient Copper, but it's one of my sister's favorite inks. 😀

That's good to hear. I'd like to get a pen case next. 😀
You changed your profile pic! 😃
@@gadgetstop321 Yeah, that's my actual face. Don't worry, I'll still hide behind the fake name.
@@ichirofakename I don't blame you. It is a bit of a shock, though, after all these years, to find out that you look nothing like Carl Sagan. 😂

Hi Cathy!
This is a really nice notebook and cover.
Personally, I'm looking for an A5 inexpensive leather jacket. What is your daily journal?
Thanks, R! I use a Leuchtturm "Some Lines a Day" for my daily journaling. It's a 5 year journal and I'm finishing up my second year. I love it. 😀
Hi, thanks for the review! Hey, could you do a retrospective on your Pilot Custom 92? lol, I am wonderign how it has been going for you. :)
