The Jen backlash did not come out of nowhere. It mainly started when Lopez expressed she didn’t want to share the stage with Shakira at the Superbowl in Miami. It appeared she felt Shakira was beneath her and took it as an insult to have to perform with her. That got a lot of Latinos pissed. Jen is big in the states, but Shakira is a global star and adored by her fans. Plus, the info of Jen using Ashanti’s voice on records has been picking up steam in the last few years. This backlash didn’t come out of nowhere, it just exploded.
I mean Eminem is one of the top artists in the world, he has a lot of bangers, and he's regarded as one of the greatest rappers ever. Meghan isn't one of the top artists in the world, she doesn't have any bangers, and she's not even in the top 20 greatest rappers ever. Eminem said this was him "killing" his slim shady character. So my opinion is he went for it and was shadier than ever. Not saying that it was right for him to say anything about Megan but, he also came for some of his good friends like Dre. So that's why I feel that way. As for JLo with everything going on with her recently, I wouldn't blame Ben if he wanted out.
