I feel like you really should have tried to get Strategy at the beginning of Age 3. It was your only change to win, and I'm pretty sure your odds were really good if you had it. Not revealing any more war cards was a win for you atleast.
Pascal is a very good player. Seeing him get beat is fun to see, cause he can be very aggressive and sometimes call things a little early for how he try’s to win. But a good guy overall. He said good game cause he thought it was over but there was no way of knowing that based on how he won this game (with two great guilds and progress tokens) however I would say pyramid wise he got the best outcome of a third age pyramid I have seen in a long time, so that could be why he said good game so early, he saw and counted the cards and said to himself ya no I’m going to win no matter what. And he did. Good game overall all. I don’t agree with a couple of his moves but in the end it didn’t matter.
His play style is very opposite of mine. I feel if I did a right/wrong on him I'd have way more wrong moves than right, yet that is the beauty of this game. You can have so many different play styles and there is not one META
I had no idea this delightful game had a competitive scene, very cool to see some great players in action!
Thanks! Yeah, it is growing. Welcome to the competitive scene!

Strategy is such a powerful progress token. And easier to get with no expansions

Yeah, that pyramid is very important. I see now why he said "good game" right at the start.
He told you good game because you lost at that point.
12:59 - yes, right at the flip. I should have realized it was over.
