Same here in the Philippines. With all the weather reports about Typhoon Haiyan in 2013 being the strongest storm to landfall, people just ignored it. Almost 3000 died with about 8000 missing to this day.

Knocked out power for a few days, but I hear those around the hardest hit areas may not have power for _weeks._ In _Louisiana,_ one of the most humid areas of the country. And we all know what humidity on a 90 degree day feels like... those poor people must be suffering. I, for one, now look at air conditioning in a whole new light.
