Do they make any different sizes? Also of concern, their 7 year warranty clearly states your warranty is only through your original dealer, not any authorized Cortez Dealer. This means if there’s an issue, you must drive say from Colorado to Ohio or wherever you purchased it. Yikes! Doesn’t matter if there’s a Cortez dealer near you when it broke, you must return to the point of purchase.
Solar adaptable? Perfect for single traveler. Awning would be a awesome advantage. Looking forward to something a little larger, elbow room is important.
Love the camper but needs a larger bed and a full dinette table for two that converts the bed, also an awning would be nice, keeping a eye out for the new model
Is there an option to completely remove the dinette? I don't mind assembling the bed/booth, (dont need the 2nd table) and the space would be great for other gear.
Like the windows however the screen and black out shade are ass backwards. Didn’t catch how many BTU’s the air conditioner was. Is there solar an a inverter. If so how much and how big. What are the holding tanks size. Thanks 👍
The shade pulling down from the top and the screen from the bottom seems the right way to me, but I went and looked at it and it might be possible to switch if you felt it was not meeting your needs. 14.5 BTU roof ac Solar panels and an inverter are not standard equipment but we can add them if you'd like. Fresh Water 21 Gallon Grey Water 13 Gallon Black Water 16 Gallon
Great video! I have two questions. Can you get an awning with these units? Also, is the 17 foot the only size these come in? We need just a little more room.
There isn't an awning from the factory. There are some options we could discuss to provide a patio. This is the only length in production currently but there are larger sizes coming!
I’m with you! As national parks, many campgrounds and some mountain roads start cutting off trailers at 26’ and 5w at 30’ anything under that size would be perfect. Like you, large enough to spend some time in without feeling trapped is key.
Hi Janice, how long you can run on batteries is a very hard question to answer because it is very dependent on what your use looks like. We can certainly add solar charging to the unit as well as additional batteries or even consider a switch to lithium. We are here to help you get a unit that fits your specific needs.
It seems like the hatches under the seats are too small and will require a lot of effort to fish things in and out. Also it seems that the blinds and screens are mounted upside-down. The privacy part should be on the bottom not the top and clicks together with the screen. That is how it is on our Lance 1475s.
No door on the bathroom, one seat at the dinette. That has to be the worst layout ever. At your price range you are competing with the Oliver Trailer and they are much better.
The original version had a door for the bathroom and if you wanted one we might be able to order it. Having seen it both ways, I prefer the easier access and space of the curtain. Oliver is a good unit, but I think Cortes is pretty great too!
@@crazypeoplearoundtheworld304 - I beg to differ. The elite and elite 2 have the same holding tank sizes even though the 2 has more available space, limited to 2 lithium batteries and 2 solar panels. Not to mention that they could expand the width, but have not. There is so much missed potential it’s maddening.
The original version had a door for the bathroom but the size door for the space was pretty tight. Having seen it both ways, I prefer the easier access and space of the curtain in exchange of a little less separation.
@ millers RV it have a sort of self cleaning retractable shower door used in van life diy builts i think nerderloss it called can that work for the bathroom 🇹🇹 cortes is my dream Rv ,the table in front shold be removeable i think bye
Airstream does make a great product. The Cortes comes in at a lower selling price than the airstream, has more space than the Basecamp and the body material is repairable which is one big benefit over the aluminum skin! Both good products that will last way longer than traditional trailers.
Looks like it’s very cold and unwelcoming. You look very excited about this trailer but camping in a boat it’s not what camping should be. This one is basically a boat on wheels. I would better go with an Intech Sol or Horizon and save huge money and enjoy a way nicer trailer.
InTech is a great product but still a traditional construction which is both heavier and still has wood panels, floor, etc. The Cortes shaves 5-600 lbs which allows it to be towed by vehicles that can't tow a Sol. Also when you look at fully equipped selling prices they are very similar. Hope this helps.
We usually don't have any problems getting in touch with them, please reach out to me and I will help facilitate. Our office number is 225-275-2940. Thanks, Jeff

The table could be removed but the seat is molded in to the fiberglass shell.

@@MillersRV how much for this one ?
Just subbed. Nice channel. I am looking for this size……fiberglass, shower and an oven with permanent bed, like Casitas,Scamps, etc. Thanks
Come take a look, you will love it in person! Reach out to us at sales@miller's RV or call/text 225-275-2940 to set something up!
Could I have a bag toilet instead of a black water tank toilet? If so could I have a larger gray water tank?
Currently not an option but thanks for the feedback.
An "air gap between the two" shells?? AS IN there's NO insulation between the inner and outer shells?
That is correct. They have looked at adding an additional insulation package.

I'll pass along the feedback on the screen/shade. Maybe it can be flipped.
@@MillersRV with my suggestion, you can vary the privacy while having fresh air.
Do you happen to know the interior height in the shower? I'm 6'2
It is right at 6'3" in the center, but you'd have to watch our for the smoke detector and the AC.
In the shower it's about 5'4" (I saw a 5' lady standing in it in another video.) But you can sit on the toilet if you're too tall. Not glamorous.

@@MillersRV After an email. I talked to a rep yesterday. He was very interesting. He had an interesting take on world history.
60k 😂, come on, I was thinking around 25k for the base
YIKES! We do have some other options closer to that price. For the Cortes the construction and lack of wood are real values I see.
There is nothing comparable out there for 25K. I agree these campers are expensive but they all are.
LOL you're not getting this kind of fiberglass Construction for 25k
