  • Today we discuss not only my favorite amp under $5000 but one of my greatest AV hacks I use on any high end system. The 3ch Parasound Halo, .250 X 3 powerhouse with the quality of a $10K amp for $4000. You can pair this Great home theater amplifier with any receiver as long as it's got pre-out sections and you can properly amplify the front three speakers while still having open amp channels for the rears.

    I bought one from you 3 years ago based on your recommendation; I listen to it EVERYDAY so can vouch for this product! You’re a solid DFW dealer of Hifi equipment and I appreciate your honesty. I’ll be back for more when budget allows!!

    So with the A31 would you go with an AV10 or AVM90?

    • @TheaterAdvice_FCAV
      @TheaterAdvice_FCAV  Місяць тому

      Either. Even the AVM70 which is what I own. Just depends on how seriously you take your processor. You can even use a receiver with pre outs so it powers the rears. Super AV money saving hack.

      @@Sivakumar59999 this is a video on a 3ch amp..you are posting about a pre amp with a 3 star review on Crutchfield. Hard pass.

    Which audioquest power cord to get

      Any of them are better than the box...smaller differences as you go up the list. Honestly only marginally important. NRG X3 great for the money.

    Adding an expensive power amp to a mediocre AVR. It's still going to be the AVR that's making itself known! Hence, one should try to keep things evenly balanced!

      100000% disagree..you hear the amp. Changing the electronics makes a TINY difference in comparison. The receiver is just a volume control at that point. You should change both...but this is the difference tha tmatters.

      A poweramps only job is to boost an output signal! Whereas with an AVR, is responsible for receiving & processing the signal. Even if an AVR is using external amplification, it's still the components within the AVR that will be responsible for quality the signal.
      Boosting an already established signal is basically giving one more of what ones already got.
      I think you might be getting confused between AVR and a processor, which btw, narrating on a video I would imagine would be quite easy to do.
      Always respect people who are willing to put themselves out there. Cheers
