I wish other bike makers would comprehend what a blacked out bike is supposed to look like. It’s blacked out. Not just the tank. My “dark stealth” Streetfighter has more silvery bling on it than the name would suggest. The should have called it dark-ish stealth-ish.
Just traded one of these for the ninja 1000SX , great bike around town but not the best at higher speeds. One the whole though a good bike. Great video Tony.
Hi Donald I`m looking at upgrading my Z900rs and this bike and the Ninja 1000sx along with the bmw s1000r are the 3 I`m down to. Between the ninja and the Honda which one is better suited as an all purpose everyday bike with hitting the backroad twisties on the weekends? I don't really do any extended touring, but I like the idea of maybe doing some in the future.
@@KB-yj5xp Hey There , hope your all good and enjoying your time out and about on your bike now that the lockdown has eased somewhat. I will do my best to answer your queries based on my personal experience of both the 2020 Honda CB1000R & the Ninja 1000SX. First the CB1000R 2020, it is a good bike if your doing a lot of town/city rides. Great for filtering and full of power, comes into its own above 5000 Revs. However, there is no weather protection at all and has a small tank capacity. I averaged roughly 130 miles to a tank of fuel. I do a lot of motorway miles so found it hard work, hence the change. This is my second Z1000SX the first was a 2013 model and covered some 4000miles with it. The 2020 Ninja 1000SX is much improved. I picked mine up on the 1st May and have covered 879 miles to date. I can’t say enough about this bike, it is awesome, comfortable, fast, smooth and good weather protection. I opted for the touring and performance packs which added £2,000.00 to the cost of the bike. But totally worth the money mate. I sincerely hope this helps you, my advice is to book a test ride on both machines mate. You will have a fair idea as to which machine best suits your needs.
Well thats quite a hard question they are 2 very different style bikes. Both bikes have around 140bhp, the fuelling feels smoother on the ninja at lower revs, The Honda is more snatchy and aggressive on the clutch. Didnt test the Honda over 60 mph so cant comment on top end. The Honda is a street naked while the Ninja is a sport Tourer both bikes are made to do different things really.
@@THETURBOTONY Hey Tony just wanted to say thanks for the response and the video review, I put my money down on the CB and pick it up this week, after seeing it in person I loved the way it looks, better than the pictures show. After test riding it does have a significant soft spot between 4-6000 rpm but I think with an exhaust and tune should transform it into a nice street weapon. Cheers and keep up the quality work.
@@THETURBOTONY sounds right, I placed my deposit three months ago. Got confirmation it was in transit within the US as of 5/8. Should be southbound on 5/13.
Learnt a lot from that ride across town TBH because that’s where we all end up sooner or later. Nice bike that.
Lovely bike mate, time and effort gone into design
Really want one, looks great 😊
Awesome bike

Absolutely agree. Honda really went out of their way to style this properly.
Full akrapovic system is a must when I get this👍
Yes Absolutely
def XD
Black headers Ackro?
@@josephsaia5527 hopefully, I have mine and have to settle for a Leovince LV-10 black slip on for now.
Black tyres too bonus👌 🤣 great vid again Tony lad 👍👍

Yes sound thanks mate 👍

@@KB-yj5xp honestly I would say the Ninja, does all the above best to sit or test drive all machines and see. My opinion is Ninja sx all day long 👍🏻
@@THETURBOTONY Thanks Tony, they don't really do test rides around here so I'm dependent on strangers internet reviews lol, appreciate your time.

looks a smashing bike that , makes me wanna get my old yam back on the road 👊 great vid🎥
Thought u was gonna get it taxed
@@THETURBOTONY yeah i need to get it sorted and get back on it .... time for a blast
Looks more like Shipley Honda that, Tony?! Great vid mate.
Yes it is shipley. Have I said something else in the video ?
@@THETURBOTONY Ilkley.
Im a donut 🤣🤣
Good vid. National speed limit on a dual carriageway is actually 70 mph not 60
It really looks like a well built bike.
Great review.
Thankyou for the comments 👍🏻
It's a wheelie button not a light flasher (works in user mode)
How would you compare the performance and handling to the ninja 1000sx?

@@KB-yj5xp awesome mate, thanks for the comments. Let me know how you get on with upgrading it and tuning it. Thankyou 😎
Totally love this bike......but I will get a blacked out emblem. Matte balck filler and Matte silver honda wings on the tank logo
Sounds fantastic mate. Love it
@@THETURBOTONY great review brother....thank you
Its black. Different getting this bike.
Great video. Would you recommend for a first bike?
Awesome bike to ride mate. Black edition just has a better look to the standard edition. All the best
Leave it in rain mode until you develop throttle control and you should be ok.
Dose this edition come with heated grips ?
Going through the options on the TFT display it does have a heated grip option so you could probably add it
First time I hear someone saying the word "black" like you do...
Not sure how to respond to this comment. Good or bad ?
Joss
Ahhhh...no twisties???
It is what it is
National speed limit for cars and bikes 70mph on dual carriage ways unless stated otherwise, stay safe Turbo.
Cheers for that. Didnt realise it was 70. Knew single was 60 so just assumed
@@THETURBOTONY To be honest I didn't either until it was posed to me a few years I think most people naturally assume it just applies to motorways.
Cb1000r or Z900 ?
Hard choice that one. Think it would come down to what the best deal you can get from the dealer
@@THETURBOTONY
Yeah. I think the Z900 beats it on value for a couple K cheaper. The CB sure has a nice finish and build quality.
EB= engine breaking, mate
Yeah mate. Put it in text on the video screen mate 👍🏻👍🏻
Decent review... I get mine on the 18th
Black edition ? Got told I would have to wait months if I ordered one.

What tail tidy is that?
Sorry I dont know. The garage fitted it
For a 1000 I think it’s a bit small needed to be a tad taller
Saying that I am 6’2” and a big lump 😜
It is a little small for a 1000cc bike. Hard to find right balance for everyone
@@THETURBOTONY like the Yamaha MT10sp lovely bike but again a tad small
wtf is that accent
