The first Space Jam was, my well, jam (lol) and that's coming from a non-Looney Tunes fan (double lol). This sequel had potential with the CG and animation but the product placement of Warner Bros franchises kinda overshadowed the whole thing
No, the film company just used characters from other movies they've made as the audience for the game which is why we see both live-action and animated characters.
Both space jams were made for commercial bits but 1 managed to do more than the other: -Space Jam 1 had an absurd and simple plot -Space Jam 2 had a plot that was too serious and complicated -The 1 had Tunes in 2D high and in color -2 had bland Tunes that were barely put on screen and spent 90 percent of the time with mediocre CGI. I'm not a person who spits on CGI films but the one in this film is just bad -The 1 had a lot of Tunes humor, -The 2 had almost none or otherwise, so forgettable or poorly executed that we quickly forget it - The 1 has a lot of Tunes, there were even some in the public - The 2 forget that the film is intended for Tunes and is limited only to those of the team. Some Tunes like Hazel were shown in Bugs' flashback but were never seen again - The 1 advertised Jordan and Nikes in a correct manner - The second advertises all the Warner catalogs rather than its basketball player - The Monstars were pitiful enemies that blended well with the plot - Al-G rhythm is too powerful an enemy for a film based on basketball and Tunes, it's cool, but it doesn't fit with the plot and makes it too serious, although the actor does very well act as - The 1 settle for the Tunes who did not want to become slaves of Martians and the retirement of Jordan - The 2 mixes too much intrigue at the same time: Father/son problem, separation of the Tunes, confinement of almost the entire world in the digital world, destruction of the Tunes.... we don't even know what everyone's goal is in this story - The 1 introduced the most iconic female member of Looney Tunes: Lola Bunny - The 2 did not bring anything - The 1 had a good match duration - The 2 had a match that lasted almost 8 hours because it was so long - The 1 highlighted the Tunes - The 2 barely manages to highlight some of them, Gossamer and Speedy are examples - The 1 had good enemies "reformed" at the end of the film - 2 had bland enemies who had no purpose other than obeying the AI - The 1 had some fun times - The 2 attempts to be too serious, the Bugs'sacrifice moment for example proves it - The 1 had an animation that reminded us of that of the cartoons - 2 contains none apart from rare cases like Daffy's beak upside down. -The 1 have Daffy playing - Daffy don't playing in the two
