but the last twist makes the whole first half of the movie's plot obsolete it's so wild that they seriously did not even seem to care/think about that.
I don't trust most movies with star stacked casts anymore. It's usually a sign that there's some garbage executive in the driving seat trying to make a name for themselves or something.
@@grim_2000Dune and Dune 2 are great movies. You don't want to do this though. There are so many more recent bad movies with a star studded cast than good ones, especially on streaming services.

The Beatles used to be very picky when it comes to licensing their music for movies, that’s why it was so weird to see their music so heavily features in that weak of a film. If such great of a movie as Boyhood could not secure a Beatles song, Argylle also should not be able to. And yes, I am gatekeeping licensing Beatles music. Edit: a typo.
I recall Paul McCartney said he would never allow the Beatles music to be used for commercial reasons. However that was said before the Beatles songs were sold and McCartney had no legal claim to them. But going up to the present, Paul McCartney and Sony own the music following McCartney suing Sony in 2016.
Poor Henry Cavill seriously needs to fire his agent, or simply find better scripts. This movie was a waste of his talents, though at least the cast seemed to have fun during filming.
It sounds like this movie was trying really hard to be The Lost City with Sandra Bullock, who plays a novelist, who ends up on a crazy adventure with Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe and Brad Pitt even has a small (but hilarious) role. But, Lost City was actually funny and had a plot.
When I first heard the premise of an author’s books coming true, I thought it was going to become a really cool fusion of fantasy and urban fantasy where an author’s world slowly comes to life. I was really hoping for an exploration of what it means for this author to have accidentally created life and danger and what it means for these characters to suddenly be real. When I heard it was spies, I was already disappointed. By the time I had the twist spoiled (done in marketing), I was only interested if it was really good. Guess I’m not interested at all now!
Remember when they think there's a crash mat hidden under a five-story drop, and to determine whether its safe to fall, they drop the cat, a creature famous for having far greater tolerance for large falls than humans, thus dropping the cat won't prove shit? This could be the dumbest movie of the year.
Hollywood finally got around to making a Bollywood film lol. I had so much fun watching this, it was just a fun, brainless, goofy ahh film. Like, I'm genuinely so glad that nothing made sense, I'm so glad that the CGI was trash lol, there were random dance sequences, there were a million unnecessary twists, the dialogue was so bad. Her getting hypnotised from a fucking mp4 file was hilarious 🤣. It's like they went to the tvtropes website and just put all of them in the film. It's like an Abbas-Mastan movie meets a Rohit Shetty movie and I am HERE for it. Loved it lmao. Just kinda disappointed that we didn't get the Henry Cavill and John Cena kiss
That's exactly what I thought. But fair enough, the director thinks he can get away with a lot of non-sensical/contrived stuff because of that. It would have been a better film with a more well-thought script. NOOOO!!! PEOPLE WHO DISLIKE THE FILM ARE JUST BIASED DOG PERSONS!!!!
Wow thanks for taking this one for the team. I’ve seen the preview multiple times at the movies recently, and rarely have I ever been so turned off from watching a movie by just the vibe of the trailer. Glad to know I was on point with how much of a disaster it seemed
You should review the Argylle book that was published as a gimmicky promo for the movie. My friends read it for a detective fiction lit class and said it was awful. So actually maybe don’t review it.
I was surprised to find it even being licensed to be translated. There was a copy I’ve seen in a book shop in Kharkiv, Ukraine. I’m guessing the local publisher was expecting the movie to be a bigger hit than it really was.
omg I thought of Stranger than Fiction too! I was also reminded of Romancing the stone at the beginning, Bourne Identity in the middle that turned into Total Recall at the end plus the plot involves a list of names and identities like the first Mission: Impossible

A lot pf people say the worst thing a movie can do is be boring but I personally think wasting potential is worse and this boring POS movie wasted a lot of potential
Hear me out guys: What if “Argylle” is like the plan for “Argo” (the story of the fake film produced in order to save those hostages) except it was actually produced, filmed, and released.
I saw this in Dolby and the whole time there was this really high frame rate the movie had and it was messing with my eyes the entire time the movie was on.
1st half I really liked and then once they showed up to the place in the Middle East everything changed the “twist” was fine I was laughing at the end at parts you aren’t supposed to laugh at it was insane I haven’t done that since Spider-Man 3 (tobey maguire)
I watched it with my girlfriend last week and took a nap halfway through the movie. I think its my new favorite bad movie. I really liked how bad it was, and had fun during it. I think my nap helped, given that i watched two 60 min movies instead of one gigantic one. Will watch it again, probably drunk
(1 2 3 Spoilers!) I think that the fact that she leaves her cat is out of character but that's the point. It's the "end-of-the-debate" thing, when she really puts her former life behind and fully accepts to follow Aiden in a spy-adventure life. But OK, it could have been better executed to make the viewer understand that.
Sadly, I think Matthew Vaughn has fallen off in quality. His past few films I've actually hated or found lame, and I was actually intrigued by the trailers to this, but ah well 🤷♂️
Don't worry about revealing the twist.
The initial announcement revealed the fucking twist.
Not really. That is what they wanted us to believe. But there is a twist.

This would have been analogous to the sort of rambunctiousness the butt sex joke was in the first Kingsman.
i really thought this was gonna happen after the kiss scene on the boat, my disappointment is immeasurable
Honestly this was such an obvious, good joke that the fact they didn't do it just speaks to the amount of effort that was put into the film
If they where ‘t coward the film would have had a shot of John Cena and Henry Cavil making out
Argylle is genuinely the worst movie I've seen at a theater. Kudos to Samuel L. Jackson for taking home a bag for watching basketball and clapping.

The end with the colored gas is one of the worst scenes I've seen in a really long time.
