I love this young lady. This is probably my favorite song by her. She sounds as if it were written for her. 2 years before my father died he shut me out because of a new marriage late in life. When I heard this song right after his death I had to wonder who had painted the moon black and why he walked away from me. She is well in the company of Streisand, Linda Eder, Midler, and others all with excellent voices.

This is not true of other popular artists such as Enya who doesn't have the same dynamic acoustics in her voice that Hayley does. Enya's music is full of electronic processing and layering when done in the studio and it robs her voice of the same mid-range clarity that causes Hayley's voice to project her perfect overtones and inflections. It's easy to see why you have so many "thumbs up" !!
I was flipping channels one day and their was a figure skating show called Katarina Witt and friends. I was only going to stop on that program for a minute. Hayley was singing for the figure skaters performance. I know she sang this and I think she also sang Amazing Grace. I was instantly hooked. Did anybody else see that show?

Hayley's voice is very sweet whereas Nianell has an intriguing voice. Nianell wrote the song in 2002 I think. Nianell is very talented singing many music genres from rock to country to opera. She plays several instruments as well.
