    I’m a Congolese from this country of documentary REPUBLIC OF CONGO, known popularly as CONGO BRAZZAVILLE to distinguish it from his neighbor DRC (Congo Kinshasa), and I’m glad that you peoples did a documentary in English about a bit of my history country, particularly about president Sassou who made history, this is historical fact, wherever can be someones who like him or not (as usual for every republic president), so that Africans from English speaking countries can know a bit of our Congolese political History, because Republic of Congo being a French speaking country, many of our history documentaries are in French. Thank you to you peoples by doing this documentary. Just to finish I want to say to peoples who don’t know it that: Congo Brazzaville was the cradle of socialism in all África in 1964, and president Sassou ruled firstly in this socialism era. A great historical count of the republic of Congo 🇨🇬 political story; however this report missed important facts: the assassination of president Marien Ngouabi was planned with Congolese apparatchik military leaders among them colonel Sassou Nguesso. How come a president of a country in his military barrack home, under the perimeter of the army’s head quater? The defense and security minister, colonel Sassou Nguesso has never been asked to explain his failure to protect his proteger the late marxiste leader Marien Ngouabi. At the National Sovereign Conference in 1991, it was stated and proved that Sassou Nguesso knew a lot about the assassination of Marien Ngouabi. Prior to be killed, Marien Ngouabi was told to be careful with his inter circle security guard.
    ELF Aquitaine the French oil company now known as TOTAL Energy had discovered import offshore oil reserves in Congo. Marien Ngouabi was not pleased with the the share of revenue the French company was handling over to the Congolese people, just 17% when Marien Ngouabi was asking 50%, a win win deal of kind. The Congolese leader told the French major oil company that he was going to suspend the contract and may be find another partner to work with. Four days before he was assassinated Major Marien Ngouabi spoke to militants of his party in Brazzaville during a meeting. He said that his country was on a business fight with a foreign imperialist nation. The French ambassador who was at the meeting left the scene in sign of protestation, attendee boo the French man.
    According to the report by intelligence agencies around the world accessible to public more than 35 years after the event, Sassou Nguesso was in bed with the French oil company leaders and the Parisian political elite. Congo oil reserves are on Atlantic golf of Guinea. French ELF Aquitaine was extracting great quality oil in neighbor Gabon, north and in Cabinda (Angola) , south but the quality of oil in middle was not good enough according to the French experts. Marien Ngouabi was not okay with that and freeze the french company to keep prospecting.
    Less than three years after the killing of Marien Ngouabi and the ousted of Joachim Opango, the French company announced that it had find great oil reserves in Congo oil. Colonel Sassou Nguesso was the new president of the country. Among the training the former paratrooper officer had, intelligence was among other skills he developed in France. So, it is not difficult to find out who killed Marien Ngouabi and who wanted him dead?

    • @sambaaxel3434
      @sambaaxel3434 2 роки тому +7

      Baliele you’re wrong about the Marien Ngouabi’s death responsible. I’m a Congolese from Congo Brazzaville and I’m a historian who works with archival documents from Sovereign National conference. In this files, which are truths said by peoples who lived in Marien Ngouabi era, it’s written that president Sassou, at that time defense minister known the plans of killing of president Marien Ngouabi because the killers were his friends, but HE (Sassou) WAS NOT PART OF THE KILLERS, he was even saying to those killers to just arrest Ngouabi, and being defense minister he was like in uncomfortable position to betray his friends to Ngouabi and at the same time he was afraid that Ngouabi thinks that him Sassou was part of the plans. So the d-day those killers (among them late general Yombi Opango) planned to arrest Ngouabi it was in a hotel far from his home (head quarter), one person of the group at the name of Pierre Anga, a military who had issues with Ngouabi, took the knife and stabs Ngouabi, and he died, in fact it was an arrest which gone wrong. Sassou who was not there in that hotel, was informed and he went there, he wasn’t happy with the killing of Ngouabi, but he might face the reality (Ngouabi was already dead), so solutions might be there, so for not make things worse in the country, like to provoke a civil war, Sassou and Killers planned to bring the Marien Ngouabi’s body in his home (head quarter) in secret and to accuse some other military visitors that Ngouabi should meet that day he died. In fact if those killers planned to kill him, because Ngouabi (from the north of Congo) had an idea to give back power to his predecessor from the south and civilian, but his military friends (his futur killers) were not agreed to lose the power. So the day Ngouabi died, he had an appointment with the delegates (militaries who will be accused wrongly later to kill him) of his predecessor to see how to give back the power. Then the killers after killing him and bring his body to his home, they will accuse them (those military visitors) to kill Ngouabi, when the Ngouabi body’s was discovered in the head quarter. So all those files you quoted here and there about the so called responsibility of Sassou in Ngouabi death’s, ARE WRONG . But I understand why those files always quote Sassou as a responsible of Ngouabi death’s, because both each other were closed like Sankara and Compaore in Burkina Faso.
      And for the other aspects about Sassou links with French oil companies, his influence trafic or his part in oil business as a president, and the profits he gained with his family in properties he possesses in France and all over the world, it’s French political realities in each French speaking African countries, even in some English and Portuguese speaking African countries like Abacha in Nigeria in the past, so it’s not only Sassou, Bongo father in Gabon was even the master in this game, now his son Ali Bongo, he’s in it, Biya in Cameroon, Ouattara in Ivory Coast, Faure Gnassinbe in Togo, Macky Sall in Senegal, late chad president Idriss Deby, etc…. I’m not saying that it’s fair politics but I’m saying it’s in many African countries with many presidents who do it unfortunately, not only in Congo. To finish I want to clarify something that I’m not a Sassou militant, just saying facts as a historian.

      Hi my dear, thanks for asking this question. This criminel has never been elected he traffic the vote and kills all the members of the opposition. This is the reason why my family left. He killed my brother and commented the biggest genocide of Central Africa. He was helped by France, Angolan, Rwandan, and more again. My bomb most villages in the south which don't exist anymore. Villages are empty and in the hospital they also don't provide proper carer to people from the south of my country. His plan is to reduce our population and replace us to his ethnic and foreigners. This man is evil.
