@@necrohexedmtg I get that. I wanted to build it for a while but just never thought I had the right cards. I said screw it and just built with what I had and will just update it as I go.
Oh wow! You're doing the same thing I did. It took me years to complete the challenge. I had a stipulation however. I had to actually be interested in building the deck. I couldn't just build one for the sake of completing the challenge. And that was a challenge, since some of the color combinations are not very appealing to me, or they don't have any commanders that are interesting. Oddly enough, those commander decks ended up being some of the MOST interesting. I guess limitations breed creativity since I had to think outside the box. For an example, I am not really drawn to Naya so much. Naya does stuff that I don't particularly care about. But then I had a thought. Jeska triples damage. And Sidar Kondo makes small creatures difficult to block. Naya Infect, baby! Another example. Dune didn't have any interesting commanders. But then I watched a EDHrec video about meme decks and that guy caught my attention with a Tymna/Tana commander commander deck. A deck where all the cards refer to your commander? And it's actually a good deck? Funnily enough, that was the last deck on my list, and I finished it just a few months ago. Now I am back to only building only 5 color decks.
@@gaiden81 while I don't have that rule for my decks, you'll notice hat there's a gaping hole on my finished decks that us white amd or red. That's because even though it's. Awesome video! I didn't consider adding Soul Warden to my pauper commander deck when building it for the same commander. I went ahead and did that. Thanks for sharing this deck tech with the world. In regards to Necropotence, what happened last summer?
@@Kwansu_Dude thanks. I'm hoping I helps anyone on yhe fence with certain hings. Oh. Not last summer, black summer. I think k it was summer of 1995. It was tge Era where every deck was a necro deck.
The was kind of perfect timing, I'm building a token Orzhov deck with almost identical mechanics minus the recursion.. This could be a fall back if I ever want to split it. You'll have to let us know how it plays please!
@@Kuro-Shogun that's awesome.i did test it a couple of times and it ran well, but of course I tested it against really competitive stuff. @@briansantillan546 my nekusar dexk is a little outdated at the moment as I haven't quite gotten tge cards I'd like to upgrade it yet. Since Elas has some newer stuff in it, I would put it just a little ahead of tge nekusar as it stands right now just because of that and the fact that it's 2 colors vs 3 and th mana fixing needs to be upgraded on nekusar a little. However, when I finally do upgrade nekusarto what I want, it will most likely end up a high 8 to low 9 roughly, while elas will probably be a low 8 always.
@@briansantillan546 I can give you mu experiences and it may help. When playing nekusar, it's fun for a bit and unless who you play with don't know what he can do, you're targeted quickly. Elas gets a little more time to play with in games because people don't fearlifegain decks, but don't take that to mean it's any less fun or dangerous. Elas and the build around it is great and in my opinion is the more fun one to play.
@@BluebearsGames amazing thanks for your insight! i’m leaning a little bit towards elas more due to the fact that I already play a yuriko deck & that gets targeted quite often & im looking for something along the same concept of poking damage but not always being the biggest threat right away
im loving how easy this looks and how much it drains. very itchy to build it right now !
