This was a MASSIVE undertaking. The interior on the Ratty Charger has always been a daunting task looming over my head. Today, that changes for the better. No longer are we procrastinating greatness! We have interior that will make this car so much more enjoyable!

Fantastic work on the interior. Now, you realize you're basically obligated to paint the outside of it. I'm glad to see an actual restoration going on.
Out of all the cars on this channel, THIS is the one I want to see primered and painted the most. Match the door jamb green and spray this beast.
This car deserves a beautiful green metallic paint job
I get the whole patina thing I truly do but this car in the org. green would be stunning .
Then it’s just another green Charger. No way to tell the history visually.
@@DylanMcCoolVideo I'm with you, it's perfect the way it is.
I respectfully disagree. Fresh green paint would really set off this car. These cars are never "just another Charger." Combined with the fact that most everybody is doing "patina," there's nothing special about patina anymore. That car deserves new paint. It looks unfinished.
@@adamtereska8734 Good news is you can paint your Charger whenever you like. I’m not going to.
@@DylanMcCoolVideo this car has no history
A tip for the interior panels, to make silver trim, paint it black and use a silver paint pen, like those paint correction pens, get a silver one, paint it black and use it on the letters and trim to make it silver, just light dabs on the letters don't push the pen too much.
I wish I could be that coordinated!
That is what I was going to say. Way easier and less time consuming.
@@DylanMcCoolVideoummm... Dylan...not knocking none of it...I'm a big forward look guyi ...if I win the lottery...I'm buying a DeSoto and a 60 phoenix conv...
But all that black!!!
I'm a southerner like you...
But ...dude...the summer!!!
THE SUMMER...!!!
Pll😅pq
@@DylanMcCoolVideo That is the main reason to get a wife/girlfriend, they are great at those jobs.
To me, there is almost NOTHING better on a classic car when the interior is redone and feels brand new. Its the best part of building old cars to me, because that is where all of your time is spent. A well insulated, sound treated, and clean looking interior with a moderate sound system and new rubber seals everywhere makes driving and old car daily more fun then just adding a bunch of power. Its the part I feel is where you really feel the worth of the money it cost to do it!
You have gone this far, she deserves paint! 👍
Looks great just need to paint outside. Lol
47:02 Those seats are like sitting on the floor of the car can you see out the windshield? Nice job on her looks amazing get her painted a nice dark metal flake green
great job. now all you need is a good paint job. the old factory green would go nicely with the interior.
Looks good on the inside now it needs the outside done
u have to paint it to so it will look sweet wat it is now it sucks with the rust on it
Please paint this beautiful car.
Dylan, this charger deserves a paint job and the whole works
or at least a headliner
Headliner? Sure, but painting it would make it look too nice, it should stay as is, like the Challenger!
Nope. Leave the patina.
The patina actually looks good on this car because it’s not rotten or banged up and dented all over. Bougie interior and rat rod outside is kinda badass
I'd leave it I purposely put a 20ft paint job on my car because I drive it and don't care about scratches and also it was yellow and I hate yellow. I didn't fix the dents
Just LOVE hating on those seats. Thanks for the opportunity, Dylan.
Very fancy

It was all going well and looked till those front seats went in 😌 The headlining seems absent too when you've done everything else.
Great Work 👍
Im so jealous! I can't wait to see it painted green with black some mopar stripes!
He is leaving the patina
@@madmanmechanic8847this is not patina.....I will say rust and holes everywhere ......but you can call it patina.....😂😂😂😂😂
@@saintsmccastle3521the cool part is its patina to him and it's his car so ummmm
@@damianjackson9084 yes....the car belongs to Dylan Mc..... Cool........but not to madman....so ....ummmmm
@@saintsmccastle3521 I meant Dylan McCool lol how did you not get that 🤣🤣
Paint hat baby a dark green! Maybe with a matching vinyl top.
Looks Great!!!
Couple things. Somebody may have already mentioned the glue if left to dry to the touch will adhere immediately and make a better bond, and to clean the excess glue and overspray use ronsol lighter fluid. It also works to clean greasy fingerprints off even light colored cloth interior pieces and headliners.
I'd love to see your Mustang 2 with a new interior too. You put a new lease on life for that Charger. Nicely done sir!
It's like Dylan is doing a 1:1 tamiya scale model all the painting of the dash bits and bobs. Oh hello from the uk.
Looks great! I like that you actually will drive it.
well, I gotta say that the interior looks stunning !! perhaps the next project would be to repaint it then? would love to see it in its original color again 😊😊😊😊
Oh man!!! Wish you'd redo the exterior to original too! Such a GR8 car!
I know you're into the patina thing, but I would make the body smooth as glass and put a shiny paint job on that car. It's worth it!
Dylan and bryer are such a good team and I really are loving this build 👍great job guys
Beautiful job! You guys really stepped up on this one!
That interior turned out beautifully 😍
Great job, Dylan & Briar !! Congratulations!
Keep up with the improvements and you'll need paint before long. Looks good!
U should also have the tac lights be green as well to blend everything together and make everything even better.
Well Dylan, I can't sign off on the black upper door trimmer the other black trim changes because I had a'68 Charger exactly the same green inside and out. I will say you are dedicated to doing things, and doing them well. I agree with some of the others, it should be painted for that complete restored look.
Oh, Dylan Bless your heart.
Black block stripes, faux black vinyl top, or a black stripe on the trunk and rear quarter panels. It’s too nice not to have at least a bit of paint. Love your content!
Great job Dylan and Briar
Dude I can’t wait to see this completed I love watching bro you’re extremely informative and not boring while teaching awesome job.
Love the Patina, please keep her like that. Tells a story and shows the history
All coming together, looking good.👍
Awesome... silver sharpie the switch rings and lettering 👍
One idea next time you want to reveal paint like your dash is Fret Erasers. It actually a guitar maintenance product but it works for what you're doing. Something to keep in mind for the next go anyway.
For future reference: for dash bits covered in rust, drop them in a tub full of Vinegar for a day, wipe off the rust when done (it will literally wipe off) then soak in a tub of Baking soda water (1 cup baking soda/1gallon water) for about 15 minutes, rinse off and dry and your parts will be like new and the rust will be neutralized! To go the extra step, electroplate with Zinc. Did this to the dash frame of my 93 Celica that sat 7 years with no windows in it, turned out PERFECT!
Looks like a great improvement! Keep up the good work, love your videos!
WOWWWWWW DYLAN that interior is so NICE and STYLIN!!!!! That black with the green is the right touch!!!!!! Good eye brother!!!!!! I have to say again.......THE CHARGER SOUNDS SO GOOD.
Digital Dakota gauges are the bomb buddy I like them buddy
Love the back seat. Hate the front seats, but I understand why they were chosen.
Beautiful dash. Love it.
Love everything you guys do to restore old cars, hope you can keep it going! I know we all need to buy your tee's and whatever because it helps the channel, I will before too long
Dang!!! The interior looks so good. Can't ask for a better job done. Can hardly wait to see the exterior when it's done.
Impressive, Dylan. You’ve made remarkable progress with your Charger. Well done. Now get out there and drive it!!!
I'm gonna clean the windows, and I'm using Windex, this stuff is amazing, wiping the windows clean using my Windex with Bounty Paper Towels, these are amazing!!
Beautiful work on this interior! ❤ one of my favorite cars ever you have worked on. Can’t wait to see what the exterior looks like.
Dylan that Dash panel looks AWESOME!!!!!
Love it. Green and black is my go to color scheme.
Super nice touch doing the black and green
Take a shot each time Dylan mentions a company and each time he says this is going to be his favorite part of the interior
The perfect charger. I totally agree with the route you’re going. Killer Job can’t wait to see it done. 👍👍👍
The car looks amazing great job guys.
Awesome job
So close but just missed it with those front seats. To each their own!
Man, this is so nice! I've followed this build since you took it out of the woods. I'd be absolutely proud to make this my daily driver just as it sits. Nice work!
Congratulations Dylan can’t wait to see you on power tour
the interior looks fantastic!
Amazing transformation D, out standing 👍
69 charger. I think thats the first car I wanted as a kid. I was a dukes of hazard fan!
That looks great. I'm doing the same thing with my 1978 Trans Am. I love that look the old body all worn and the clean new interior.
Yesss Dylan I remember this car!
Looks really great!
Wonderful. It's making me want to do a roadsteration of my own.
Love it!!! Looks awesome man. Keep up the great work.
Phenomenal interior. Excellent job.
Love your new "performance" gauge package!❤😂
Awesome job!!
I just feel the need to say this, yall in the comments need to let up on the paint job, he's said before he doesn't want to do the full paint job, he prefers the patina look for the character value and yall seem to forget one important thing: THIS ISNT YOUR CAR, HE CAN DECIDE WHAT HE WANTS TO DO WITH IT. Good lord, I was feeling tired just seeing the same friggin thing over and over again, can yall imagine how he feels? Sorry to get heated like that
To dylan: you do whatever feels right for you and this car and dont listen to the people trying to tell you how YOUR car should be, keep her going dude, been here since the beginning and im staying till the end, you can bet on that.
Fantastic restoration.
Love to see the 2 tone black and green interior as that's exactly what I plan to do with mine. Gonna keep my lower dash pads green though.
loving the charger series back!! BUT I WANT MORE 4 SPEED DART!!
Man I love the two tone interior! It looks so good!!
Good Work Dylan, Way To Go, It Looks Amazing!!
Love the dash and interior and whole car Dylan
Thanks as always Dylan for giving me something to watch while at work
Dylan the interior looks amazing great job the color just pops Congrats
Was driving on I65 today (Friday June 14) and saw you and the rig driving down the highway!
Interior looks great 👍🏻 love the Dakota digital gauges.
Got to meet you during day 4 of the Power Tour, time to start from the beginning and watch your videos
That was some EXCELLENT restoration Dylan!
Amazing work in car dashboard !I think your work is incredible, I have been following it here in Brazil
Really enjoying this transformation, great car and good tips like the hot screwdriver! Can’t wait to see more videos of this car
Looks Great! Sounds Great! Looking forward to a ride 😎!
Quedó Flamante el CHARGER!!! Saludos desde Argentina
It's really good to see you giving the Charger the love.
Very nice job guys
Looking awesome Dylan, if you get a chance, you should put some sound deadener on the inner roof before you hit the road, it will help big time . . . I used to be from the school of shinny outside, tidy inside, but the patina look on the exterior is growing on me . . . I wouldn't be able to resist putting a shot of clear over it if I was lucky enough to have her in my garage . . . lol . . . so I'm not cured yet !! Great to see you bring her back, it was great to see you bring her round the first time . . . she's looking magic !! Nice work !!
The interior turned out awesome y'all! 👍😁
It looks good.
Love it sir!!!! Great job
Well done!
I have really enjoyed this build. You have done a really good job bringing this back to life.
Love the work Dylan. Keep it up!
