@@louistracy6964 In this case, it seems the intent is to learn of more detail of a tribe, from a member of that tribe. The best way to learn of a person or anything is to listen, to them. As far as judges, their duty is to objectivity view the law and the accused. While the majority of religious believers are good and sincere in their beliefs, the powerful, wealthy religious institutions are firmly embedded with the ruling elites in every religious country. Humanity will be much better served when the majority rejects divisive religious myths based on the Bible i.e. a fictional 6,000 year-old Earth where Neanderthals never existed. In the real world, most people have some Neanderthal DNA because our human ancestors mated with Neanderthals and Africans whose ancestors have never left Africa have no Neanderthal DNA. The enjoyment of enjoying life with other people among other things - being kind to the stranger.

I read or saw a story about the Crown Heights riots. In the 60's and you would know this better than I maybe, but Jews could identify with the ugly racial prejudices that blacks had to deal with. Sometimes people forget the incident in Mississippi, where Chaney(a black civil rights worker), Goodman, and Schwerner (2 Jews) who went with him had drove to Mississippi from NY to protest or aide in voting for black Americans. Most remember the movie Mississippi Burning and the vicious beating and subsequent murder of all three men by the KKK (cowards) Sheriff's. I remember a story from a Jew that was staying in his house the nights of the riots until he noticed a silhouette of a black man sitting staunchly on the middle of his steps. He then realized in was his next door neighbor standing guard so nothing would happen to that house. I'm Colombian, but outside of birth, I grew up in America my whole life. I wish the Jews and the black folks could rekindle that bond they once had.

I love the common thread between Hasidic and Amish regarding technology, smartphones and keeping social media out of their lives. I think we could all stand to benefit from minimizing or eliminating tech from our lives. Thanks again for shedding light on this beautiful and diverse community.
I am not Amish but I was raised on a farm without technology. I am very good with it now. I do it for work. But I value greatly my time playing in nature everyday when. Less technology is 100% better for children! But it's more work, you have to ACTUALLY engage with them and pay attention to them a lot etc! It's lots of work but VERY rewarding!
It is common sense and I personally try to live life a bit like in the 90s as much as I can (slowing down, reading books, I dropped social media except for linkedin, haven’t owned a tv for 15 years but l’d rather watch a film, being in nature, cooking healthy simple meals, gardening etc., although I work on a computer) more for my mental health than for spiritual reasons (which is part of it too, though: I am a Christian and I try to practice silence in prayer every day)

Agreed, while I am a romantic at heart, it is good to go deeper into the more than just that. We set ourselves up I think as women, when we hope for that white knight. That relationship we make with our selves and our creator, should be the most important relationship of our lives, but I think we miss that in secular culture.

Thank you so much for being so straight forward about your life and beliefs. I feel that it covers all people.
"After you've done your due diligence, we believe strongly that we're not in our own hands". I think this sums up a lot of the lifestyle, beautifully: take responsiblility over what you can, then trust in God and have faith. Love it.
I was raised in a community that was mainly Italian and Hispanic. When the orthodox moved to the community and established roots , it created division. But looking back I wish people could have understood that if there is ANY community that the world can learn from, it’s the orthodox Jewish community. I’ve had the please to work with them. They really take care of the people that they work with. They seem “weird” to others but once you understand them, you realize that what they have as a community and the care they have for each other is beautiful.

"Hate will hurt you more than the people you are directing it toward. It will eat you up!" Great quote Malky! I couldn't agree w her more. Hard at times these days to stay out of hateful thoughts/opinions. The U.S. is so radical, especially these last 5 yrs! Haven't seen a time of more hateful rhetoric in my life & I was born in the 60's! Peace & love to all!
Could it be that people are loosing the connection to spirituality?
As a retired 69-year-old African American man, I truly appreciate this eye-opening video. I don't hold prejudices against people anyway, but this video affirms from me the attitude that I have about the human race. One of Love, unity and respect.
Malky is a wonderful person. She has so much style, personality, spirituality and clearly savors life.
What? Is she Zuckerberg's Auntie? So sad, Zuckerberg is such a nebbish.

I was young (I'm 31 now),
But I agree so much. I have been raising my 3 year old son without technology. Not absolute. But very minimal. Dont have a TV in my house etc. My son loves books and drawing and playing outside a lot.
Modern way of society is overwhelming and way too much going on it's anxiety causing.
Have a wonderful day Aja! ❤️🙂👍🕊️
Less technology is 100% better for children! But it's more work, you have to ACTUALLY engage with them and pay attention to them a lot etc!
It's lots of work but VERY rewarding!
Christian's are suppose to do the same. You choose what you do with it.
It is common sense and I personally try to live life a bit like in the 90s as much as I can (slowing down, reading books, I dropped social media except for linkedin, haven’t owned a tv for 15 years but l’d rather watch a film, being in nature, cooking healthy simple meals, gardening etc., although I work on a computer) more for my mental health than for spiritual reasons (which is part of it too, though: I am a Christian and I try to practice silence in prayer every day)
I liked your comment until you said "community". I never owned a smart phone and I do not use the word "community". So I am more modest of a person than the Hasidic or the Amish. But I do use power tools at times when wood working.

We can live in peace and we should and its happening in the middle east as we speak
It is not our differences that divide us, but the preconceived notions we have about one another. As a Christian man I know other religions, not just Abrahamic religions, have so much to teach us about the good in their lives and communities - if only our politicians would stop playing us against one another!
There is good in mankind that cries out to break down these barriers we have built and embrace one another as brothers and sisters, we all carry God's love and compassion within us, we desire fellowship more than we desire hate.

Interesting usually Italians and orthodox get along
You can find division in ANY community. You can have a division even in your own family, don’t need to go far for that. Divisions cause by misunderstanding, anger and having no desire to listen and understand your opponents.
They don't take you as part of their team. That's the problem.
how did they create division?
What is not beautiful is your use of the word "community" every sentence. Careful, that word is a true sign that your mind was compromised.
