Yes, the R44s used the 1447J motors at first before their new life in Staten Island.

The R142A/R143/R188 will always be my favorite
I'm from Boston so this makes so much sense to me.
NYC def has the best sounding trains. We have such a great subway system
Gotta love the Alstom R160 it is the most iconic to NYC
Nice spark at 17:14! love the r143/r188 and r142 and r160a and b Siemens propulsion
The GE 1257E1 and Westinghouse 1447J are my two favorite Traction Motors
The Bombardier MITRAC sounds louder, I think. It may be loud for the 7 and L trains of the MTA New York City Subway. : )
My favorite!
its not that they're louder i think the HVAC is just quieter Lol
All GOH SMEEs in the late 80s were upgraded to 115 HP GE 1257 or WE 1447J from the original 100 HP GE 1240 or WE 1447C except the Westinghouse R36s.
10:37 And this is why the R68 is my favorite boy. His twin brother, R68A, is shy.
The 160B siemens wins hands down.
Fax yo
Baby R211A/S/T sound as gorgeous as she looks.
26:33 we gonna talk bout this
R160B-2 for the win. She sounds so dreamy. Little Girl R179, she’s a howler.
The R142s propulsion is different from a R160. I find that quite interesting
R142/R160A/B is the best alstom for the win
These motors were also used for the Alstom Metropolis trains in Warsaw. These trains were developed at around the same time as the R142 trains were being developed. However while the acceleration pattern is the same the deceleration pattern is not.
If you want a foreign train that is similar to what R211A R211T R211S have Sydney Metro trains have it.
Westinghouse sounds similar to GE, but GE is noticeably louder and faster.
Select R32s had GE propulsion.
May we have an update of this video to include the R211?
The R188 sounds just like the MBTA Green Line streetcars when they accelerate
Would be the Type 8s with AdTranz.
The Alstom propulsion is louder on the R160s
Do an update!
Why as a retired ‘Motorman’ MTA subway’B’ division ,I’ve always referred to my title as such not ‘train operator’ Idiots with the pc culture. I controlled the traction motors on the consist > ‘Motorman’ !
Why is the 7 train so reflective 😭
What’s the R211’s propulsion?
Alstom OPTONIX Propulsion. I made this video before the R211A started service.
29:52 im sorry but this sounds familiar...
