The Current`s game was spectacular as was their 1st game against the Wave. I was surprised when I saw that game. They are certainly a different team than how they were in the past. They seem more aggressive and fast.

The hard work is there but not the result. -The injuries are one thing (jinxed), do they have the right players. -Why do they get so confused when trying to score a goal. -the first goal of Angel City in this match was pretty good; for the way it was worked out.
i am not surprised i play her more up as a forward in fifa because of how well she can create a fluid and beautiful system while also being able to finish when needed
What a game!!! The quality of the NWSL is undeniable! Matches are very even! I really like that as compared to European soccer, where you have 3-4 teams that are vastly superior than anyone else.
Idk how people are saying thats not offside unless they're just missing it? I do agree the Highlight Real does not clearly lay out what happens. At 7:06 you can see there are 2 Angel City players off-sides. The ball hits one of them, they then pass it back to the player who does eventually score. The player who assisted the would-be-goal is the one whose offsides? 🤔
Thank you for helping explain what the ref saw since the highlights didn't do that very well. The part of offside that confuses me is "when does a touch by a defender reset offside"? The KC defender plays the ball with her thigh, then the offside LA player steals it. I feel like sometimes that counts as "defender played the ball" so no offside and sometimes not.
Yeah that one I can't answer as well. I think that one might be up to how a ref interprets the rules in this case? 🤔 The best I got is comparing this to when a keeper can and cannot pick up the ball. If it's a clean pass to the keeper, the keeper can't pick it up. If it's a header, chest pass, ricochet, or something else, the keeper can typically pick up the ball in play. Under the same vein, since the Angel player obtained the ball from an offside position, and the Current player never had a clear position of the ball, offside is the call is my guess
tight call but could argue it's not offside since ACFC player heads the ball towards goal but not actually passing (i don't think) so none of the initially offisde players is technically able to play it. The ball hits the two KC defenders and changes direction away from the goal where one ACFC player (who by this time is not offside) steals it, passes it away from the goal to ano ACFC player who scores
this is why i love playing with KC in fifa ....they just play beautiful football (though i use a 5 back line because i worry about their defense at times)
Vlatko has to get the girls together on set piece defense. They are lucky that hasn't burned them for a loss yet. Got bailed out by VAR. This team is too good to be let down by poor set piece defense.
I think I see why Rodriguez's goal was negated. But still, I don't like how the ref just looks at the replay, and says offsides without offering any explanation. That's what irritates me for any soccer league. If you're going to take so long to review a foul or offsides, at least explain your decision like how you did in the World Cup. I know refs are supposed to since they don't have to, but it just adds more conspiracies to the game. Now as for ACFC themselves, they were just awful. That first half basically dictated the whole game with a lack of defense and the midfield playing like crap. Also unfortunately, Angelina Anderson did not have herself a good game since she was easily responsible for 2 goals.

If I were a LA fan, which I definitely am not, I would be suggesting that they take VAR and put it in a place that I shouldn't write about.

It's why VAR is good. I can understand the linesperson waving off the goal, it was close. They were able to correct it.
